If I understand your question when you got a new computer (desktop or another laptop) all of a sudden you could not go online with you older laptop. If this is the case did you have to go into your router when you called linksys? Did you set up the Network SSID and Password key? If so you need to make sure that the laptop is trying to connect to the same network and it has the correct network password key. If you need to know how to do that shoot me an email or visit linksys.com and find their "Download" radio button. then when it changes pages look on the left side in the blue area for "Easylink home networking tools" Download the program and it will guide you through setting up a wired connection first and then it will set up the wireless connection. You will then need to remember the network keycode to put into every wireless computer.
