dear my friend:
you do not know typing first... learn it properly.
the keyboard is arranged according to english words and frequently used consonents and vowels by professionals..so don't bother about it... go and learn typing...

I'll keep the qwerty keyboard, thanks. I type like the wind. Take a typing course! They're cheap enough. Cheaper than buying a brand new keyboard. And a custom keyboard is going to be really expensive. Forget it.
Even if an abcde keyboard were available for free, I wouldn't use it simply because I touch type and rely on this skill every day for my paycheck.

I think the problem is that you should learn how to type. Get that Mavis Beacon typing program. An alphabetical layout would only help people who use the 'hunt and peck' typing method. If you don't like the qwerty layout, you could also try dvorak.

If I was to change it would be to a Dvorak keyboard. Abce... is only good for someone hunting and pecking. Dvorak arranges the keys by study of words and laying out so that you will be more efficient and accurate.
Unfortunately I have tried many a few times and my brain is already wired for Querty, and I can't really change. I have heard though that kids that learn both Querty and Dvorak have no problem switching between them.
