I just installed this modem modle 2701HG-B. Internet works fine but now i want to set up my wireless stuff. Problem is, there was only one cd that was sent with everything and it is definitly not the right one. How do I set up my wireless connection so that any computer can find it.

One of my 6509s rebooted last night. Nothing was in syslog which pointed to an impending reboot and I don't see anything in show tech or show ver as to why it rebooted other than that it rebooted so many hours ago. All modules show "ok" with show module. Thanks.

I have two computers at home, the 'main' computer has two network adapters (one for a cable modem and one to connect to the other computer)

the main computer has access to the internet and the two computers are connected locally (i.e i can copy files between them, everything works)

BUT the second computer has no access to the internet, what settings do i have to make for the 2nd computer to access the internet through the 'main' computer
(both are using Win XP and IE)

thanks

One of your newly configured sites is having a problem with IP address conflicts. Some of the addresses being leased by the DHCP servers are already configured on servers, printers, and workstations. The DHCP servers are using 192.168.1.10 through 192.168.1.19. The printers are using 192.168.1.20 through 192.168.1.29

***Usually you do not have 10 DHCP servers on the same subnet. Consider that the 10-19 is the range of IPs that the server provides.

What are your options for eliminating these conflicts?

I installed active directory on Windows server 2003 Standard, and created a domain user on the server, then (after much trouble) i was able to logon as the user. The problem is, as the user, i can't view/open any type of document or archive. I either get an 'Access is denied' error or gibberish appears on the screen. What can i do?

As it stands now, my wireless connection gets disconnected whenever someone calls! Talk about frustrating!! Timewarner told me to "change the frequency" on my cordless phone, but I don't see a way to do that (it's a $30 phone, maybe the more expensive ones have that option, I don't know!), but when I disconnect the cordless phone and just have landline phones on, everything works fine. Can't get rid of the cordless, though, because there isn't a phone outlet in the living room!!

This is my second router, so I'm thinking the phone is the problem!

Any ideas??
