how can i tell which network connection my computer is using?
when i go to settings>network connections
there are 3.
1 wireless. which is disconnected.

but 2 ore connected
1394 connected
and
local area connected

how can i tell which is used?

Use the local area network (LAN) connection. The 1394 is your firewire port.

the local area connection if your wireless is disconnected. in the properties it should give your ip address, which means you are connected through that.

on yourkey bord use ctrl-alt-delete and hold them down in this order. then click networking tab. if you see no green lines then its not running.
