Advantages vs. Disadvantages of a LAN

Advantages-- you can share computing resources on your LAN-- e.g. Disk, Printers, modem/broadband connection.

Disadvantages - none really other than it will cost you some money to set it up-- hardware and wiring really.

Question is, do you really need one.

Having a LAN is great. You can share files and printers and Internet. Just try your best to have a wired LAN and not a wireless LAN. Wired is secure and safe.
