Being versed in this area, go with either Linksys (CISCO) or DLink. Linksys is a better model and DLink has great CS too. Either way, you can not go wrong :-)

We've got a linksys WRT54G wireless router http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Linksys%20Wireless-G%20Broadband%20Router%20WRT54G%20Router:1990998359 and it works great, it's a wired/wireless router. We picked ours up from a local Wal-Mart for $50. It was real easy to setup (pop the install cd in and it walks you through everything) and hasn't broken down yet. The thing also broadcasts a strong wireless signal (our computer on the 2nd floor picked up the router's signal and from the basement) Ebay is also a good place to look for routers at great prices
