I am sharing a cable connection with my sister through a wireless router. However, it slows down my bandwidth. Is there a way to make it so that I get more bandwidth then her? thanks.

Nope not with a basic routers
Those features are available only with the high end routers
Basically Consumer model routers are NOT capable of what you ask

Whoever mentioned it earlier is all wrong. Those softwares are used to control a Lan connection physically wired through a central server and wont work with your standalone wireless router
Dont install it and screw up your network configurations

If you are sharing a internet connection through a router this can not be done. The software that has been suggested here by others will only work if your sisters computer is connected to your computer and your computer is connected to the internet.
