I am looking to get an older model car and have a guy selling a 84 lesabre for $900.It has 100k original miles. Its a V6 and in pretty good shape. I test drove it and the service engine light was on. The only thing it would need cosmtically would be weatherstripping on the driverside door.

My question is how easy are these cars to work on? And what would be some major things to look at on the vehicle before purchasing it. I know a little bit about cars and would know where to look but not what to look for.
Are they notorius for any big problems

I have a 99 toyota tacoma that was running fine until one day when i tried turning it on...it would only make a clicking noise. I bought a new battery and the noise went away, but now it's back again and my truck doesnt start. I really dont know a lot about cars. ..However, i've done all the maintenance stuff (oil change, tune up etc. ) but i dont know what else it can be ....does anyone know what it can be? Thanks.

I own a 2003 Ford Explorer 4x4. When it takes off from a stop while turning right or left it has a slight vibration for about the first 5-10 feet. If you take off in a straight line it doesnt do it at all. If you take off straight for a few feet then turn it also does not vibrate. Any Ideas? U-joint? Just tryin to get an idea before getting it looked at. Thanks!!

I just droped in a new engine and transmission into my 2003 explorer. Is there a way I can turn back the digital odometer to keep in tune with the new engine and transmission. Or is it such a thing that this mileage would be considered "chasis miles"?

my car has been acting weird lately. whenever i drive down the road the rpms flutter. its not by that much maybe 100 to 200 rpms so if your a passenger its not really noticable but it is to me. it also will not start sometimes for me. if i let it sit for a while it will usually start just fine but if i run into the store really fast and back out it doesnt want to start and then once it does start it makes a really strange rough engine running noise and i push on the gas it doesnt want to go but maybe 5 miles per hour. after about 5 minutes though it smoothes out and drives fine.

I am not sure how to do this, but i am going to run rope light in my trucks bed, and im not sure how to wire the rope light so that I can flick a switch and it turns on. I want to use my main battery, but the big thing is that this rope light would plug into your normal outlet at your house, so basically i want to know what kind of adapter do i need to buy to get this to work? Thanks in advance.
