The flasher is located in your fuse box, it is a black block, usually labeled. Just pull it out and it will come free, new one pushes in.

Normally under the dash but on some newer autos it is under the hood. your owner's manual should be able to help you because eventually you'll probably have to replace it. If you don't have an owner's manual, try asking at your auto dealership. they don't normally charge for that type of advice.

Left side of the steering column. Up is right and down is left.
