I was parallel parking and I accidentally backed up to far into another parked car, fortunately I didn't chip any of my paint. However I got a little bit of their paint on my rear bumper. I was wondering how I can get this off? I mean some of it is just rubbing off by hand but, some of it is on pretty good and I don't want to accidentally chip my paint.

I am baffeled I just replaced the heads on my 2000 Grand Prix and one cylinder on the end has zero compression, even when wet with oil, I removed the heads again sent them to the head shop got them reinstalled and the cylinder still has no compression, also there is no blow by out of the oil fill cap area, this thing starts but looks like it missing on at least 2 or 3 cylinders, the original problem was water in the oil - cracke dhead wa culpurt

Can someone please tell me in detail what is torque and what is horsepower? Also how can an engine produce more torque in the pistons at a lower rpm than high rpm? How is torque tested? How is horsepower the most at 7,000 rpm rather than maximum? Wouldn't the engine be able to handle more at a higher rpm? Basically i jus want a detailed explanation of torque and horsepower and how then engine produces more torque at lower rpm and higher horsepower not at the redline?

Several mechanics can not figure this out.

My van pulls to the left everytime I brake. It drives perfectly straight when not braking. The steering wheel is also straight. 2-3 times when i brake it felt like i was sliding on oil-- real weird. My passenger tire keeps wearing down on the outside of the tread.

My father said to change the brakes and the calipers. So I did. It did not solve the problem. It still pulls real hard to the left. The rotors looked great. Even the old brakes i changed looked great and even.

What could be the problem?

It's only a 6 year old car, but it gets driven pretty aggressivly, and is a city car.

It won't turn on, it just sputters (actually not really sputter....) and does the whole "i'm turning on" noise. but then it never turns on, the car dash light flash and pushing the gas doesn't help.

Any ideas on how to get it on? we're trying to go out

Thanks

ohyea, it's a daewoo

Ok so now that my airbag went off due to some idiot touching the stupid wires he shouldnt have been touching, I need a whole new airbag assembly thing now right? like since it hasnt actually been in an accident, it can't somehow be used again can it? (I realize I wouldn't be able to do anything with it my self but say instead of having to get a whole new one?) I'm just asking. LOL

I have a 2002 2.0 L Hyundai Sonata and I need to do an oil change, but I am not sure if I need 4 qrts or 5. My previous mechanic said I needed 4 & my present mechanic says for the size of the engine I need 4 1/2 qrts to 5.

How much do you think I need

The owners manual and my dealer suggests 5,000 miles but my buddy who is a mechanic(and owns a quick lube place) says for longer engine life you should still change every 3,000.
