Hi, does anybody know the correct way to connect the ht leads to the distributer cap on a 1998 v8 Range Rover?

Are there any photos on the web - I can't find any? It is a Landrover NOT a BMW engine. Thanks.

Hi the firing order on your range rover is the following
1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

---7---5---3---1
-------------------->front of the engine
---8---6---4---2

for the top of the distributor you get your self a piece of paper
and draw a cross on your right you mark number 1 on the bottom of the cross number 4 on the left number 6 and on the top number 7 then starting from number one clockwise between 1 and 4 number 8 between 4 and 6 number 3 then between 6 and 7 number 5 and finally between 7 and 1 number 2 now you know where to fit the ht leads hope this will help you.

You might want to go to your local autozone store and get the hanes book on this vehicle. It will give you the complete firing order and where number once cylinder is and everything you need to know.

take them off one at a time and refit the new ones you cant go wrong doing it this way
