I have a 1966 Lincoln Continental with a 462ci 7.6L Long Block in it (yea I know, its a boat but will look nice when bagged w/ suicide doors).

I want to make it a daily driver after I have this shop do the rebuild work. I will be doing front end work, springs, shocks, etc. I want to make it an electronic ignition so I can add a auto starter and alarm. How can I do this and what else should I possible make the car perform better as a daily Driver?

Also on a side note, Does anyone know a local shop that can take out my 462 engine and put it back in when its rebuilt? I am in the Washington, DC area. So Northern Virginia and most parts of Maryland would work Best. I got quoted $1300 and looking for a reputable shop that's cheaper. There phone # would be appreciated.

My Ford escort is a 2002 or 2004. It has 197,000 miles so I do understand it is goign to have some problems. Well, my car shakes really bad, and it shakes REALLY bad when I'm at idle at a stoplight in Drive. WHen I put it into park, it stops some. It shakes even worse when I turn on the heat and AC. What i mean by shake, is that it seems that the engine is shaking badly and like, my steering wheel and whole front end just vibrates. My service engine soon light came on a week and half ago, I took it in and the dude replaced my fuel filter. It seemed to not shake as bad right after, but then slowly through the week it shook more and more and now my light is on again! Anybody know what could be causing this? So far my mechanic isnt finding the real problem!!!

i have a Plymouth neon 2001 and a few weeks ago i discovered a hole in the muffler so i asked my dad to change it for me, he did and i think he put a one with a bigger tip and it makes a lot of noise, that bothers me a lot, is there a way to make the muffler not make that sound without having to change it?

my 1996 jetta recently had a major leak from what seems to be a "cooler" on the oil filter going into the engine.

the seal was broken causing oil to spit out. the oil light was flashing before that, and even now that i replaced the seal (doesnt seem like exact original seal) i disconnected the electrical oil sensor and replaced it with a mechanical one.

the oil pressure when idling seems to vary from time to time, it can be up to 70psi or at less than 20psi sometimes. (when idling) the first day i day i test drove it, the car almost stalled.

what could be the problem? what is the regular oil pressure for a jetta?

im thinking it could either be because of the seal isnt proper size and causing pressure to escape, or maybe i didnt properly installed the hose going to the mechanical oil pressure gauge.

I have an 01 Nissan Sentra SE. Completely stock, the only after market accessory I have is a car starter installed about 3 month ago. About a month ago every time I start my car the rear speakers make a very high pitch whining noise for anywhere from a few seconds to half an hour. Usually before it stop you can hear it almost fizzling out. Some times it will stop and then start again a little while later. I recently instated a small capacitor (Size of a C cell battery) to my battery but have no noticed any real difference. I called Nissan today and the service advisor told me it might be a grounding error with my starter, but said it was only a guess. So im just wondering if it could be a grounding error or something else and how I would go about finding and fixing this very annoying problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
