Honestly, I just drove 900+ miles over Christmas and noticed some people drive only in the left lane. Doesn't the sign say "keep right except to pass." No matter how fast you think you are going, there is always someone else going faster who may pass you. I can't count the number of people I passed on the right this trip, it was ridiculous. Why do some people do this?

Right now my drivers side window won't go up(the problem has been identified, I just don't remember what it is) and it can't be fixed until sometimes next week. Probably after new years.
Well I'm planning on traveling 2 hours on the highway on new years eve, and idk if this will be a bad thing.
Will I be going fast enough that the wind will sort of blow by the window, or will it blow in a lot and make everything blow around?
I know my gas mileage won't be so great because of the drag of the wind, but I can't really do anything about it.
But is it really that bad or should I not worry about it so much?
Wind going by at 75-80mph is pretty fast, so that's why I'm a little worried

I've heard that it isn't good for a car for it to idle for too long. I was making a cross country (U.S.) drive when I moved. I didn't sleep well one night, and was sleepy during the drive the next day. I was drinking caffeine. But I stopped at a rest stop and took a nap. It's in the middle of the winter, and I'm driving through Utah at the moment, so it's freezing. I wound up sleeping for a while, running the engine for a few moments every now and then to warm the car up. I was using my cell phone as an alarm clock. But I was so tired that I wound up dozing off while the car was actually running, and it ran for a couple of hours. I learned my lesson about sleeping in the car in the middle of the winter. I should have just called it quits that day and found a motel. But it's too late for that. My car doesn't normally idle much. I don't go through many drive thrus, and I'm not usually in gridlock traffic. So how much damage could have been done to my car by it idling like that? Thanks!

I'm 18 years old, but I've only had my drivers license for 4 and a half months. I drive 30 mins every monday on a two way route, at 7pm going there and 9pm coming back (so its dark) the concert I am going to is a hour and 15 mins away but the drive is on a main highway. My parents are worried i dont have enough driving experience and that their will be drunk drivers out on new years eve. i will be driving to the concert around 6 pm and home from the concert around mid night or 1 am.

I flash my headlights to on coming traffic when I see police car hidden, or in the median that is monitoring for speeders. I'm trying to warn them to slow down. But I don't ever see anyone else doing this. Is this a dieing practice? Does anyone still do that? Does anyone care?

'i am a safe driver'

but i have only had my license for a few months

how can i persuade him to let me drive?

There was a question about letting a parallel parked SUV pull out into traffic and most of the answers were like "I would not let him in I hate SUV drivers", "SUV drivers think they own the road", or "I hate the SUV mentality." Maybe if these people drove a delivery truck around the Dallas Ft Worth Metroplex everyday like I do they would find out that bad drivers are in lots of different vehicles, not just SUVs. I've been cut off by an SUV, but i've also been cut off by a car as well. I've been tailgated while going the speed limit by an SUV, but its also been a car or a pickup doing it as well. I've seen lots of cars that think they own the road too.

BTW I drive a small car and I have no problem with an SUV in front of me because I don't tailgate. Because of this, I could see around a Hummer.

Maybe this is just a Texas thing. Are there any parts of the country where SUV drivers are really bad but the car drivers are really good?

Was stopped in traffic at night several cars behind a red light. A car parked on my right side slightly up ahead was signalling to get in front of me with its wheels turned out, getting ready to go in front of me when the light turned green.

There was one problem though. I don't like SUVs. This car was an SUV. I don't like SUV drivers either or the whole SUV mentality. So when the light turned green, and I saw the SUV start to move, I floored my little Mitsubishi, doing a little swerve to avoid the big ugly, and got in front of it. The SUV got in behind me.

Next light was red and I had to stop. After a few moments, the SUV turned on its high beams in order to make me uncomfortable. Typical SUV driver behavior. I retaliated by flipping a switch to adjust my rear view mirror in order to shine the light right back into the eyes of the people in the SUV. It mustuv worked, because then they turned it off. Got a head rush from my victory. It felt good.

If SUV had hit, whose fault is it?
