If you can't handle the responsibilities of driving, then dont do it. It is a big deal, though most people dont think it is. If you aren't mature enough to handle it, then dont.

The incident you went through is part of driving. It won't be the last time. Learn from it and don't let a jerk ruin your day.
Take your time while driving and go with the flow of traffic. Use your blinker when changing lanes and hopefully, someone will give you a break and let you in. Give the speed demons room and avoid them when possible. They're usually the ones involved in accidents and rollovers.
Good luck and don't let the bad drivers bother you so much. Most of us drivers are good and considerate people.

Actually, those experiences make you a better driver. Driving requires lots of responsibility, and it's not only about not doing reckless or stupid things yourself, it's also about being aware of other idiots.
I've been in 5 accidents, no fatalities, none my fault. Time will eventually heals most traumatic experiences. Of course, I've become more "aware", for example, I try to avoid making left turns if there's too much traffic (UPS GPS/navi's avoid left turns too!), maintain distance, patiently wait, watch what other idiot drivers are doing, etc.

Don't slam on your brakes and cause an accident. Don't tell other drivers to **** off. Just concentrate on the road and figure there will be times that people make you mad. So what? If you let those little things ruin your day, then the big things will seem even bigger. The woman was a jerk, so let her deal with her nasty behavior. Yelling at her only lowers yourself to her level.

Just relax for a couple of weeks and then go at it again. It's normal to have some close calls when you're learning, although it sounds like yours was worse than usual.
