In UK About £1.02 per litre and more that is US $8 to the imperial gallon or about $6 for a US gallon (I think a US gallon is about 80% of an imperial one)
Over 80% of the amount we pay is in tax

Tampa Florida - 12/31/07 - ranging between $2.87 per gallon to 3.09 per gallon for regular unleaded.

FYI ... Americans:

I drive a Toyota Yaris, and get killer gas mileage, but I would drop over dead if I had to pay $74.00 a week for 10 gallons of gas! I'm happy with my average of $30.00, thank you very much!!!

At the moment it is just about to go up in price. So it will be about 0.275gbp in January, or 0.54usd per litre.

That is 1.2502gbp per gallon or 2.0441usd per us gallon.

I think my maths are right ....
