I hit the curb and cracked a good chunk out of my bumper and part of the underbody. Do I necessarily need to get insuranced involved or can I just take it somewhere and pay out of pocket to get it fixed? Thanks

I live in Michigan. I see a lot of cars for sale that have no title. Many say they are clean title and come with bill of sale. What do I have to do to get a title? Can I get one? The secratary of state here says without title, no chance of getting one. I dont believe that. There must be some way. Thanks for any help.

I totaled my car a few weeks back and insurance said it was worth 10,900. My car loan was approx 8k . The insurance was suppose to take out the 500 deductible and send me a check for appox 2300 after they paid off my car loan. I just recieved a chck from the lendor for 1300. Does this amoutn have anything to with the 2300 im supposed to get from insurance or is it just the lendor paying what i would have paid in interest for the next 4 years for my loan ?

Because of my fear of driving, my permit had expired a while back and I stopped driving afterwards. It expired when I was living in Illinois and we moved to Tennessee over the summer. It was the permit I received from taking Drivers Ed. in high school. I need to get a license soon because I'm getting a job and need to be able to transport myself. Would I have to take a class again or something? I am 19 years old, if that means anything.

Recently, we've been involved in a car accident on Motorway. Long queue, driving 20~30mph, 3~4yards away from the car in front. Then, the car in front of us, first car, suddenly braked. So I too had to brake. Just before my car, as second, stopped or touched the first car, a car behind us, third, which had been pushed by fourth, pushed us into the first car and fourth's got most damage on his front. We exchanged tel/reg no but first car drove away as soon as he got mine and we got his. Then my husband thought it'd be good idea to confirm the fact and write down with rest of us, second~fourth. However, we, second, weren't then very clear whether we touched first at first or third car pushed us into first at first. Anyway, he hand-wrote "Because of the sudden brake by first car we, second, stopped and just touched first car then third car stopped but fourth car pushed third car into second car, us, then second car pushed the first car."..Then Police turned up. How much am I responsible?

I mean park not drive. Road Tax is obviously needed, but what I want to know is if the car also needs insurance if it is just parked on the road and not being driven.

In a nutshell, I "bumped" into the car ahead of me going at idle speed. The driver of the other vehicle freaked out, and appeared to be drunk. He kept refusing a police report, because he was "in a hurry". As it was my fault, I let it slide by. (keep in mind there really was just minor paint damage). He has since filed a claim with my insurrance company for more than what originally happend. I should have forced him to stay, but he conned me out of it, as it was truly my fault. Looking back at it, this guy was clearly trying to avoid the police.

I signed the original title registration application and found one issued last February. However, I recently did a vehicle background check and found another title # issued or updated in August and I have no information about that transaction. Can their be two title numbers on one car? How can I find out who the car is legally registered to without going to the DMV?

Where do you place temp license plates on cars? Do you place them where the hard plates go? Or in the rear window? Because I drove up to Ohio and have tinted windows that I believe are past the legal limit in Ohio and makes it hard to see them in the rear window. I ask this because someone I know told me it was illegal to place temp tags on the rear of the car where to permanent tags go. Also I have a laminator... is it legal to laminate the temp tags so they don't get wet and ruined?

I will try to get my drivers license tommorrow after waiting about 7 months with my permit. The problem is that, while I was driving with my permit, i got a seat belt violation. I know it says in the handbook while teens have a permit, they cannot get in any accident or violation. Can i still pass my test? Also do i have to pay off my fine today, or can i do it after the test? Thanks =D

If he is insured will his insurance pay for my damages? My car is pretty much totalled.
