Is it not time that we made our roads accident free, to do this i think we should ban all women drivers, that would take about 50% of cars off the road, normality would return to the roads once again.... Can you picture yourselfe driving down a road without the fear of a Woman driver coming the other way in the middle of the road, tunnel vision is the words im looking for...I think the time as come for men to reassert themselves and get the girls back in the kitchen......Ouch....Ouch.. leave me alone,,
sorry thats the wife hitting me.....These women even got a cruel streak....We must form a union..........Ouch..Ouch..

Hi, if someone has a car that still has payments left on it, can they move to another state with that car, or is that considered auto theft?

I am buying a car from a private seller and I live 40 miles from where the car is. I want to drive it home after I buy it but I dont know if I'll need insurance as soon as I buy it (the day of purchase) but I will get insurance on it a few days after I purchase it. Also how long do I have to send the title in for correction after they sign it over? Thanks for your response(s)

P.S. I live in IL so I dont know if the laws vary from state to state

I thought as I was "still in charge of the vehicle" I didnt need him named as another driver, so long as it was just him with myself. My insurance says I have to get him added to my policy.

My wife was recently hit by an Arizona businessman while driving her new 2007 Camry here in Texas. Due to the fact that the vehicle is only a few months old does, anyone know if we have grounds to file a claim for diminishing value? I read an old article on the matter, http://www.irmi.com/Expert/Articles/2004/Cooper09.aspx but haven't been able to find anything current.

What does your insurance company do with the wrecked car? do they take it and put it in a junkyard or do they let you keep whats left of it, or what?

I haven't seen anything official, and I suppose I can ask my agent. But I was curious if anybody else has received any sort of rate change when they turned 25. Does it depend on the insurance company?

I have read that you must convert to a Swiss driving licence before the end of your first year of living in Switzerland. Is this still the case if you hold a UK driving licence?

My car wasn't insured under my name but the guy was buzzed and when he got out he said it was my fault because I didn't move while he was backing up. What legal actions can I take if any to get my car fixed. Regardless of insurance is there anything I can do to fix my car since it was his fault and not mine. He gave me his phone number I got his plates and driver license number but I couldn't go through insurance, what can I do?

Were I work we have some foreign visitors working for us through an agency. I've noticed that their car doesn't have a visible tax disc. They are from Poland - are they breaking the law driving around our roads without a tax disc? They speak very little english and I don't want to upset them if its unneccessary. I think they may be here for a while possibly permenant.

I pranged my car and the insurace company decided it was a write off. Now, before they settle they are looking for a copy of the nct cert! I have just discovered it is out of date. How much trouble I am in! I have taxed and insured the car since this cert lapsed and noboby asked for it then.

I got pulled over. I asked the officer why and he answered nothing personal..... Anyways, I called the sheriff's department and the tow yard and they both said there is a 30 day hold law. Which would make my total owed to the tow yard $1,420, which might be worth more than my car. I called and left a message for the Tow Hearing Officer, is there any specific things I should tell him? I am not sure why my license was suspended. My insurance lapsed because I am waiting for my disability. I had already paid my registration fees, I just need to get insurance and smogged. Catch 22, I can't get it smogged or get insurance while the car is in the tow yard. Any suggestions on what to do or what might be a loop hole?

A driver changing lanes clipped me on a city street. I stopped, but the other driver kept going and I didn't get a license number, make and model, or description of the driver. I pulled into a parking garage immediately at the scene and had only a small ding and a light paint smear on my front passenger side. Since I couldn't describe the driver or the car and there was no real damage, I did not call the police. I left the car parked in the garage and walked to the theater were I had been heading. When I returned, there was a card from a police officer in my window asking me to call about a hit and run. I called and left the officer a message but a day has gone by and he hasn't called back. I am terrified that the other driver filed a report and claimed that I committed the hit and run. Maybe he claimed he was just driving to a safe spot to stop. The collision occurred in Kentucky. Was I required by law to call the police? Is what I did considered a hit and run?

I bought a new car a few weeks ago and someone rear ended me last week. I am now going to be without my new car for at least 21/2 weeks. I have been provided with a rental car, but, the rental car that they gave me is a "intermediate" model. It's a chevy cobalt - which I have nothing against but it has no power options it is a 2005 and has over 40,000 miles on it. It has a faint odor and stains all over the interior. I'm not sure if I should just put up with it for a few weeks and be glad that I have it to get to/from work. I really am upset at being inconvienienced like this. The rental car is actually embarassing. It has dents all over the outside too. I have talked to the insurance co. They told me to ask for a different car and the rental co. told me that they can give me the same car I have but a year older. That one is probably in worse condition. Shouldn't the insurance co of the guy who hit me try & make this as inconvienient as possible for me?

My year old Panda was very recently written off in an accident.
I have been offered the above price by my car insurance people. The offer was taken I have been led to believe from the Glasses Guide, but this is this a trade guide, unfortunately I can not buy at trade price, I must buy a replacement vechile at the normal retail price. How unfair is that? Can I refuse this offer? What stance should I be taking? What might be the result if I refuse this offer?

I am about to get insurance for my car and want to get legal protection included. The company I am about to purchase it from have said that it only covers accidents that are NOT my fault. Is this standard for all companies or am I being conned? Thanks

Someone hit my car the other week and it will be going into the garage next week for assessment. I have a feeling it will be wrote off as it is only worth a couple of hundred quid.

If I decide to buy it back, does anyone know the process for getting it back on the road. I know obviously repairing the damage but I understand it has to be inspected. Is this just by a normal MOT garage or do you have to take it to one of the DVLA places where you take a kit car to be first registered.
