I had a minor auto accident about 6 months. The person who hit me was entirely at fault and his insurance company paid for all the damages. Since it cost the insurance company more than 500$ to fix the vehicle, they reported the incident to DMV. The insurance company says that it has repaired the car in full and the repairs have a full life-time warranty. The accident now likely shows up in the carfax for my car. Will the accident decrease the sales price of my car if I were to sell it later? If yes, how can I get the insurance company to reimburse me for a likely future loss?

Thanks.

I know someone who recently bought a new car that theyI really don't want. They want to do something to it that would total it so that it gets paid off by the insurance company. I know this is illegal and is considered insurance fraud and have informed them of this. They probably wouldn't have the b**lls to do it anyway.

In the name of style, many cars today don't even have bumpers - just painted bodywork, often made of plastic that easily cracks.

The slightest knock often needs a respray and maybe even big new panels, pushing up costs for the insurers that have to foot repair bills. As a result we all pay higher prices for our insurance.

Isn't it time car makers found a way to marry good design with making their cars more durable against minor shunts?

Hey guys, my truck was in a wreck, the other driver was at fault and I called his insurance about the claim. They said for me to take my truck to a body shop and then the body shop would bill his insurance. Anyway, when I take my truck to the shop, will I get a rental car?

well i got pulled over because the cop could not see my license plate....lame huh? and i had it just was bent back into the grill so he went on and asked for insurance, and shame on me i dint have it :( (i know, i know..) that was my fault and i saw the ticket coming for that, but not for the muffle is just an after market muffler, and its so obvious that there are cars and trucks out on this same town that are as loud or even more, so they took the car and im concerned about the wrecking or damaging the car when they towed it(car has a body kit and new paint job), IF thats the case who is to blame? and should i do something about the fee for the muffler? and what would be a good statement.

i also need insurance now and am 20 yrs old, its really expensive everywhere i looked.

I know if someone lends their car to someone else, they are responsible for the damage to the car. However, if the child who crashed the car did not receive permision from the owner to drive the car, but rather the owner's child (who is also underage), is the owner still responsible?

In addition, the child who crashed the car into a stop sign ran away and the car was impounded, since it was considered a hit and run. Is he responsible for the damage to the sign and the impound costs?

I know its a lot of questions... Thanks guys!

Someone hit my house with a car, she was driving her moms car with permission but did not have a drivers license. Would the insurance her mom had on the car cover any of the damages? She was not a minor and this occured in Texas.

Pls help!
My wife was driving the car and hit the another car at the back at the signal. No injuries and no big damage except other car's rear bumper. Since incident is small and there were no injuries we didn't inform cop. I came to know that its a mistake.
One more thing is my wife doesn't have insurance. She has learner's permit and I Have full insurace. I was with her while driving. I informed my insurance company about this and the other party has also informed his insurance comapny. I am not going for claim to my car. But my questions are these...

How does the insurance work here? since my is not covered under insurance should I pay everything? or insurance will take care of that?

Though there were no injuries, people told me that they may come back saying they have injury. How much they may demand? How can I get across this situation? I am pretty sure there are no injuries for sure. But I am very much afraid of this.
Would informing cop help? I am very much tensed! Pls

I hit my neighbours car on its wheel and while i have fully comp insurance my MOT is out of date. My car is fine but they are making a claim against my insurance company for the damage to their wheel. Will the fact that I have no MOT show up anywhere when they make the claim against my insurance company??? Idon't know if to keep quiet about it or try and get it mot'd now but it will cost me a fortune on a car that i am not intending to keep.

My wife hit the suv in the back at the signal. No big damage. No injuries. My right headlight is broken. His rear left bumber has a little bit damage. My wife has CA learner's permit. I have full insurance. What I should do now? I am kind of tensed very much as of what will happen. Since there were no injuries or damage, I didn't inform cop. I asked him too. He also said no need. But he took my car insurance company details and passed on the info to his insurance company. How does it work now? Should I do anything? Did I not do anything that I supposed to do? Please help me out. I am going out of my mind because I am tensed as this is unexpected and I never faced this kind of situation. Please help me!

Thank you very much!

This was due to unpaid tickets. My question has to do with car insurance...The violations were from 2003/2004, but since I am taking care of them today, are they considered "new" violations or are they considered (for insurance rates) 3+ yr old violations? Just in case you are wondering, I have driven a company car for the last three years and the insurance was all taken care of thru the company. This will be the first personal auto insurance I've had since June of 2004. The lease is up on the company car, and I am puchasing a used car (2002 model) from a dealer.
