I was rearended about a month ago and the guy took off. It cracked/dented my rear bumper on the left side and dented my hatch (its a sorento). The repairs were less than the deductible for uninsured motorist so I didn't open a claim. I also haven't scheduled for the repairs yet, I've just been too busy. Then this morning I was hit again in almost the exact same place. I was stopped at a backed up freeway exit when a lady pulled behind me and swerved to my drivers side. She hit the corner of my bumper, my rear corner panels (both top and bottom ones) dented where my fender is and scratched severely down the back 1/3 of my drivers side. My Q is, if I was in a previous accident in the same place could they tell. and would that effect my current claim..? I have pictures if you provide email I can send them to you to see what I'm talking about.

I was hit by someone who ran a stop sign, it did alot of danmage to my car, it will be a few weeks before its fix, i want to know will there insurance co, pay for a car rental, they had libiblity insurance,,but also the person driving the car did not owne the car, it was loaned to her by the owner..

I only have 3 weeks left to go & I'm anxious to make sure I get my licsense back on the day I can get it back! I have paid all of the necessary fines but I have not heard a word from DMV as to what I do on the day my suspension is over to restore my licsense & I don't see anything on the website pertaining to this. Any information would be useful, thanks.

Last night, my kid's dad went to buy some food and he totalled my car. They charged him with a DUI and went to jail for 4 hours. I have allstate full coverage on my vehicle and I was wondering if they would still cover my car even though i wasn't driving and he is not on the policy.

I was hit this morning on my way to work. The other lady admitted fault and was cited by a police officer. She filed the claim with her insurance (Geico) at the scene. I contacted geico and was told that I have to have one of their people do an appraisal of the damage and setup the repairs. However, when scheduling to have it done I was told that I have to go to them and I have to go to a place thats in excess of 40-50 miles from my house and have to do it at 7am or during my lunch break, but that's still about 30 miles away and would take about 2-2.5 hours(my break is 30min.).I told them that I could only go that far if it's after work (after 4:30pm) and they would have to reimburse me for my time. Otherwise they will need to reimburse me for missing work. they said they can't do it after I get off work & that they won't reimburse me except for rental car and repairs to my vehicle. They're totally playing hard ball. If I go through my insurance I have to pay & wait for reimbursement.

im going to apply for my lisence but i don't really know what to do. I know that I have to take the drug and alcohol test but then...im kinda confused...i know that i should research it but right now im at school and everything but this website is blocked..So can anyone help me please?

It didn't look like any damage was done, the driver of the other car asked for my friends DL information and work phone number and said, "Don't call your insurance company, it'll just make your rates go up. Everything looks ok, I'll call later." He ( the driver of the hit car) called later and said not to worry about the bumper, it was kindof an old car and he said it didn't make any difference to him if it had a dent. He said the alignment was out, and told my friend (who hit him) that if he wanted to reccommend his own mechanic, he would go there to have it fixed. Or if he wanted to get quotes on the price he could just pay the average or he'd go to whichever one he picked. Also, my friend didn't have his insurance card with him and the other driver said that if they called the police he would get a fine for not having it in his possession. Is this true? My friend called his insurance co. when he got to work and reported the incident. We're all debating on who should have done what.

My auto insurance company has been charging me fees, rate increases (originally I was told it would be a decrease!), and a whole other mess with the DMV. I have not had any tickets, accidents, or claims. No one has been able to satisfactorily explain to me why this is happening. How do I now if I have a case with the insurance commission/and or a small claims lawsuit?

I cannot afford a lawyer (just got a new job and have been unemployed for seven months), so I'm hoping someone in the Yahoo Answers community can help. My rear bumper sustained damage, and I believe the driver should pay for it to be repaired.

I have reported it to my insurnace company, but I have no way of affording my deductible ($1,000) and quite frankly, I don't believe I should have to.

If anyone knows whether I need to go to court tomorow (yes, that's his appearance date - I just found this out), please let me know. Any other information is very much welcome and appreciated.

I recently moved from Chicago, IL to Columbus, OH. I still have Illinois driver's insurance and my car is registered in Illinois. My license is still an Ohio one from 3+ yrs ago (i know, i never changed it! bad bad). But i do plan on changing my Ohio License to update the mailing address.

How long do i have to get these done legally? 30, 60, 90 days?

I rear ended someone who slammed there brakes on.

Hi I am doing an engine swap in my car. The new engine is a smog-legal gas/petrol engine. but my old engine is registered as a Diesel engine.
How do I change my registration to reflect its now a petrol engine, and get it certified / smogged as legal to drive once the swap is complete ?

He is supposed to bring me back the plates and the insurance tomorrow. But what is he gets into accident before he registered the car in DMV? He has bill of sale and the Title for the car. So formally it does not belong to me anymore (I got the money).
