I only have 3 weeks left to go & I'm anxious to make sure I get my licsense back on the day I can get it back! I have paid all of the necessary fines but I have not heard a word from DMV as to what I do on the day my suspension is over to restore my licsense & I don't see anything on the website pertaining to this. Any information would be useful, thanks.

Also, please don't write anything with put downs like this Michael guy did. He is nobody to judge me as a "horrible" person, I'm looking for intelligent people with intelligent answers, not bored morons with nothing better to do than put people down on Yahoo answers

You can start now gathering up what you will need to get your license back. Find the original papers where they suspended your license in the first place, and read it. It will tell you what you need to get accomplished to get it back. Find the receipts for all the fines you have paid. Find your insurance card and put it with the receipts. If you need an SR 22 filing, make sure that has been done and get a copy of that from your agent. If there are any other requirements listed, make sure you have met them and have the documents to prove you have. Now on the first business day after the date your suspension has ended, gather up all this information, take it with to the office that issues licenses, and tell them you need to speak to the hearing officer about getting your license back.

It's not likely you'll get your ticket back "on the day". On the day following the expiration of your suspension you can go to the DMV office and apply for re-instatement. Each state has it's own requirements. Some are relatively painless while others will make you jump through hoops for several days or even weeks.

The DMV will NOT come looking for you to restore your right to operate. Until you go to them and complete the re-instatement process you will be unlicensed and may NOT drive under any circumstances.
