I bought a car 10 days ago (from cargiant) and wasn't informed that it was sold without tax. The car is 7 months old and I stupidly assumed that would have tax therefore never checked and only noticed today that it doesn't have a tax disc. Do you get so many days grace to get a tax disc and if I get stopped by the poilce what penalties am I looking at?

Okay. My favorite car is in possession of a lienholder. I just found out that my father can still claim the car and the fee is affordable. Can anyone tell me what does he need to get the car out? Does he need insurance, driver's license, or anything else? Oh, and can we pay with debit card? Thanks.

why do you think lawyers tells you to call them only if it wasnt your fault 99.999999%- because they know they will get paid good money, so why call them when you know its not your fault and you will get your money from the insurance company, I think its only if you want to share your money with them

I was driving home from work yesterday and a woman pulled up beside me and told me that I hit her side view mirror. She began yelling at me and telling me that my mirror was turned in (no damage just closed) because it hit hers. The cars behind us began honking because at this point the light turned green and when I began to ask her if there was any damage she yelled that she had my plate number and drove away. I sat there for a moment taking in what had just happened and then left myself. Will I get in trouble if there was any damage caused if she does in fact have my plate number? She never asked me to pull over or for any of my information. As she drove off I wrote down her plate number as well just in case I needed it. What happens if she goes to the police/insurance with this story? Should I contact someone regarding this situation? Thank you.

I Crashed my car Into a third party and claimed against my insurance. later whilst looking through my documents I realised that my MOT had Lapsed and that I had not declare 6 Points 3 of which were on my license before I took out the policy. I am worried that One or both of these oversights will invalidate my Insurance and that I will be Liable for the costs of my car as well as the third party's as well as facing possible prosecution

I just feel that if the State is going to require by law auto insurance ,, then your credit should not have anything to do with your rate! Many companies don't even tell you they are running your credit, but they do! This needs to be changed !

I was just wondering if in Pennsylvania when getting your car inspected do they call your insurance company to make sure you have insurance on the vehicle or do they just look at your insurance card.

I didn't stop for a school bus when it's lights were flashing, and I got a ticket. I know I have to pay that, but will the ticket affect the price I pay for car insurance?

Some tickets don't require you to report them to your insurance agent. Is this one of those.

Also, this was in the state of Massachusetts.

I was just in a car accident, where I was turning left onto the main road from my neighborhood road, and a car was speeding on the main road toward me as I turned left, and he had to swerve to avoid me and hit 3 other cars in a parking lot as a result. No one was hurt, just the cars were damaged, but the police say that only the driver that had to swerve will be allowed to file an insurance claim. The police officer and the mother of the boy who was driving both say it should be alright, and most likely, his insurance company won't call, but the officer also said that if it wanted to, his insurance company could sue mine to pay for damages. But it seems like it might not happen, because the mother was very supportive and nice (more than I deserved), and said everything will be fine. I have to go and pick up a record on Monday from the municipal center. What will that tell me? ALSO, do I need to call my ins. comp. now? The officer didn't say anything about it when I was talking to her.

Do you know where i could find the details of... MYM 157X?

It is a Golf Cabro.
