It depends. If you LIVE in a state with insurance laws then you need to get the proper insurance before driving the car home.

If you live in New Hampshire then you need to consider the alternatives. With the cost of medical care and auto body repair today I don't think there are many people who can go without insurance.

Remember...we buy insurance because we can't afford the risks that it protects us from.
