why do you think lawyers tells you to call them only if it wasnt your fault 99.999999%- because they know they will get paid good money, so why call them when you know its not your fault and you will get your money from the insurance company, I think its only if you want to share your money with them

Yup, that's right. No point in getting a lawyer if it's just a minor accident involving only damages to the vehicles. However, if an accident involves bodily injury, hence called liability claims, then it is actually more advisable to bring in a lawyer. Reason? Liability is more a subjective claim and as a layman in the insurance industry, one would not know how much to claim for. An attorney on the other hand has the experiences to determine how best to claim for their clients and what is the quantum and liability to claim from the party at fault.

OK, I've been doing insurance a long time. In accidents, 95% of people think the accident is the other guy's fault. Half the time, they are wrong.

Those lawyer adds you see, well, they're ADS. The whole point of paying for them, is that they drum up business.

No, not until I've given the other guy's ins a chance to work. And even before than,I''d let my agent know I was having problems.
Of course, regardless of who was at fault I'd notify the police and my agent right away.

If you were not receiving a fair compensation from the insurance company, or your medical bills were not being paid, a lawyer could be quite useful.

Here's the deal: lawyers work 100% for themselves 100% of the time. Always, no exceptions, ever, never.
Just keep that in mind whenever you think about hiring one.

It doesn't matter if you know it wasn't your fault. It's the law that tells you whose fault it is; and it's lawyers that know the law. ...and that's why you need a lawyer.
