I was inside my client's house when my car got hit by his neighbour. She left the scene almost immediately, but I saw her car and there was a guy outside who knows her and told me what happend.

I called 911. Cops got her cell phone number and talked to her. She said she left a note but that's a lie (you can't do that in 30 sec). She also told them she'll call me and pay for the damage.

Well, she called and said she's sorry and stuff. I had 2 _CHEAPEST_ estimates ready so I told her it's gonna be over $500 (not incl. rental car for 3-4 days or anthing else).

She said she won't pay more than 100 bucks, 'cause "her guys" told her so and she also won't pay for rental because it can be done in a day. She wants 3 estimates...

When I asked for her license plate # and policy # she said she doesn't want to use her insurance for this and again asked for 3 estimates.

So what should I do now? She won't give her insurance info and she won't pay more than $100.

Why when I am getting quotes online for auto insurance do they ask for my marital status and even have a spot for "single parent." Would I get a better quote if I said just single? Am I penalized for being single. I'm no kid; I'm over 40.

This may be a simple/stupid question, but with temporary license plates, are they not valid on the day displayed on them? Or is that the last day they are valid? For instance...if my plate says June 2nd, and I'm driving around on June 2nd with that plate still on there, will I get pulled over?

My car was hit by a guy driving a Uhaul. He probably declined the optional insurance offered by Uhaul. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure if many insurance companies cover rental TRUCKS the way they do rental cars? Thanks.

Even though my friend's dad bought the motorcycle and has receipts, the title is in my friend's name. My friend was in a crash with the motorcycle and he was issued a check for the damage of the motorcycle by the other party. His dad now wants the check. Whose check is it?

I was involved in an accident. 3 cars were stationary sitting at a light waiting to turn right. The 4th car (17 year old ) no license, permit only, no one in the car with him, no insurance hits me from behind. The impact was great enough his air bags went off. This pushed me into another vehicle. This vehicle left the scene of the accident. The vehicle also hit another vehicle in front of them. Out of the 4 cars I was the only one that carried insurance. I did retrieve the license plate number of the guy that left the scene. The police stated they would check it out. Upon receiving the police report they said they didn't have enough investigators to take care of a job like this. So this guy has gone free. The one that hit me a $445 fine for no ins. and no license. The vehicle in front $295 for no insurance. My questions are:
Am i liable for all these vehicles?
What is the penalty for a hit and run?
By the way this was in the state of Texas.

Sorry for the stupid "question"..I'm just in dire need of assistance.
I went to the DPS office today and they told me that I'd have to be 18 to take the permit test w/o any driver's ed courses. But some of my friends are driving at the age of 17 without any courses and they legally received their driver's license and everything. This is such a stupid tedious process. Is there any alternative to taking the written permit test? I heard you could go online and apply for one without going to the dps or whatever
AHHH HELP ME I NEED MY DRIVER'S LICENSE WITHIN 2-3 MONTHS

IS IT POSSIBLE? GIVE ME SOME IDEAS!

I was looking to lease a new lexus is 250 which would cost me 369 a month but i went to get a quote from geico, it said that the insurance would cost about 1600 a month. I think that is pretty insane considering you could finance a porshe 911 for that much money.

I am 20 and got my license last summer. is there a time period when the cost of insurance goes down?

I bought a motorcycle from a guy who did not have the cycles title at the time. He said he needed to apply for it. After three months of promises he tells me the title was not in his name, it was in someone elses and that person died, so he's having a hard time getting it. I have numerous e-mails from this guy stating his son was driving this bike all last year (without a license?) and in each one it appears he is the current owner. He lives in Iowa, I live in Wisconsin. With all my e-mails, how hard is it to sue him? I was also told it is illegal just to try and sell a motorcycle without a tittle. Help!

...if the other party decides to get rid of the wrecked car and get a new one, why don't you (the one who caused the accident) get to keep it? I mean, you pay for the car insurance, and your car insurance pays for them another car....so shouldn't YOU own it?

Rental car agency is Enterprise. What if they do the walk around with you and all is well, no damage...then upon washing or something, they find a door ding or scrape or something small, can they call you at a later time about it? Potentially, it could have happened after the car was out of your hands, if it wasn't noticed during the "walk around," right? Or no?

I am curious to know if when you talk to an insurance adjuster regarding your claim if they can / do record the phone calls. I know when you call them, the little messages states "this call may be recorded for quality assurance." But what about when they phone me? And also what is legal here and what can they use from the recordings?
