Get ready for a humbling experience from the Judge and here is why. Sounds to me as if you are a great driver in the making. Glad I live in another State where I do not have to be on the same road as you are. You should be taught an Expensive Lesson, and if I was the Judge in the Court you would be and also your license would be taken away until you are 21 at the least. Also a Drivers Education Class including a trip to a Morgue seems in order. What do your Parents think about this or do they even know?

Okay with all the junk aside what it going to happen is you are going to court. Depending on what you do and how you act while there will determine what will happen next. Now the advice 1. Get your drivers licence and keep it in possesion from here on out and make sure you take it to court with you. 2. Find out if your sister has insurence and get a copy of the card and take it to court with you. 3. Be prepared to pay the fine for speeding, and take as a minimum tail chewing from the Judge.
Some of what the Judge will do will depend on who they are and how you acted with the police officer at the time. Last but not least if you sister does not have insurence the you will probley pay a fine for that as well, However check with your insurence company and see if your insurence covers you for what ever car you drive many do and if that is the case take a copy of you policy with you to court. With all that said .....QUIT FIGGIN SPEEDING.
Goood luck know the can be a little tramatizing. Rob

When you say "Ca" do you mean "Canada" or "California"?
Laws vary from place to place. In California if the vehicle does not have insurance it can be towed, but more commonly the driver would be cited (as you were) for no proof of insurance. It then falls to the registered owner to come to court to provide proof if they want to avoid the fine.
In California it is legal to drive without a license in possession as long as you are validly licensed so perhaps this was indeed in Canada. 16 year olds are not allowed to legally drive here unless they are licensed and there is an adult licensed driver in the car.
You will not necessarily lose your license, it will depend on local traffic law. It's best to keep your license on you, or at least remember the number. With your personal info the police dispatcher should be able to pull your license number and status from the computer but that just makes the traffic stop take longer.

You will be required to perform "Public Service" work 10 hours a week for 2 years with Paris Hilton.
Well, maybe not.
Just go to court and have your license and insurance from your vehicle. Explain to the Judge you had these things and was under the impression your sister's car was insured. You may want to admit to your speeding, but, being sincere and honest can help in what the Judge decide.

Don't worry about what will happen just go to a ticket clinic or traffic law office and let them worry about it. Getting a lawyer will save you tons of money on insurance now and in the future and you will not have any points applied to your license. If you don't get a lawyer you could lose your license if the prosecutor is having a bad day.

If this adds up to enough points, you could have your license suspended, or have to hold a restricted license for up to an additional 90 days. Also, be ready for a BIG increase in your insurance cost.

when you go to court on this one take all the information with you,and they might dis-miss a few of the charges, but you,ll probably have to pay the speeding ticket, and it will go against you on your driving record,it will also raise your insurance up a little too,id try and slow down a little with the price of insurance these days you cant afford too many speeding tickets like that, good luck with it.maybe they,ll dis-miss everything this time.
