Hey guys, my truck was in a wreck, the other driver was at fault and I called his insurance about the claim. They said for me to take my truck to a body shop and then the body shop would bill his insurance. Anyway, when I take my truck to the shop, will I get a rental car?

They should definitely give you a loaner car for as long as it takes to repair the truck if the accident was his fault and if you need a truck for work or whatever, make sure they provide you with a rental truck. One other thing to keep in mind is that insurance companies will usually pay for the repairs to be done but there is a problem that once your vehicle has been in an accident, it's value drops versus one that has not been damaged depending on the age and condition of the vehicle even if the vehicle has been properly repaired. It's called diminished value and some states require an insurance company to compensate you for this. Read this article:

And ask them if they are going to repair the truck with aftermarket or used parts at all......used parts in good condition are generally acceptable to use but aftermarket parts sometimes don't fit as well or have the same corrosion resistance as factory parts and reduce value as well. And see if they warranty the work and painting and for how long.

The loan car is usually specified in an insurance details but it is usually your insurance for you to have a rental car not from the other drivers insurance.~~

Notify the ins company that you will need a rental truck to accomplish the same things you needed to do with your truck.

Absolutely you should get a rental, you need to talk to his insurance about it.
My best advice would be to get a lawyer, his fees will come directly out of the insurance settlement.
