i was walking into a store and a person backed out a parking space and not looking behinde them hit me i am going to have to go it alone cause the po po did not charge her it is hardv for me to get a lawyer to rep me.the ins co already denied the claim i wrote the lady a nice letter asking for setrtllement but she refused. i have med bills and the such i was out of work for a month my chiro still says i need attention i had to go back to work.can somebody tell me how this thing works and what i need to do

they denied the claim because according to them its a she said he said issue but how can that be when everybody knows ur to look in ur rearview or turn all the way around when backing up so if she would have done that she would have seen me

You need to tell us why your claim was denied.

Well, if it's word vs. word, may the more credible person win. You can file suit and be prepared to prove she hit you. Do you have witnesses? What about a police report? Usually when a pedestrian is hit the cops are called out. It doesn't matter if she was charged or not. File in small claims if the value of your claim is under the threshold for small claims court, otherwise, and I never suggest this but in your case...hire a lawyer.

Well you would definitely have to start with an automobile injury lawyer. Check your local yellow pages for a good one or ask a few people in your area if they could refer you to a good one. I also had some luck before going to legalmatch.com and presenting my case there. I had several lawyers in my area that responded. A lawyer will also be your best bet in getting anything done and will surely lead you in the right direction. Good Luck and I hope you get to feeling better!
