Okay, So I got into an accident the other night :-(, pulled out onto the highway making a right, there was a huge snowbank to the left of me obstructing my view so it was hard to see, it looked clear so I pulled out and bam, struck by an oncoming car. I believe they are going to say its my fault and I believe my car may be declared totaled. I have a reconstructed title, is that going to affect their decision to declare it totaled, and if they do declare it totaled will it affect the amount of money I recieve? The only thing really wrong is the front driver side door, but it hit the bar inbetween the two doors a little so I think it may be structural damage. Thanks.

Car was stolen, then recovered, with some damage.

I have comprehensive.

Insurance company is sure to cover body work.

Will they also check and/or compensate me for less obvious damage (i.e. the wear and tear to the car incurred from being drag-raced for several hours)?

Will they compensate me for items of value stolen out of the car? How does that work?

If you have a salvage title, I was wondering if you are allowed to drive the car including on the highway in North Carolina after the repairs are made or if you are required to have the title changed to rebuilt/salvage after the repairs are made. I was told that your insurance agent can add comp and collision after they inspect the repairs but I was not sure if that would automatically change the title from salvage.

for example in Italy, they use a "no-claims bonus system": more accidents, and you pay more, no accidents and each year your premium lows(although each year the price often rises so the saved money is quiet a few)...is it the same there?

My son, driving like an idiot went off the road totaled his car. He ia aged 19 almost 20 still lives at home. He carries his own auto insurance. Just liability. He has absolutely no medcial coverage of his own, only mine from my employer. However, there is a high $3000 deductible.

On the night of the accident, I dpicked him up and drove him to the ER. I checked him in and gave the hospital lady my insurance info, etc, etc. When the bills come rollin in, are they going to be in his name only? I do not wish to pay his medical as he caused this by being stupid. I want him to lear a lesson, that driving stupid, costs. However, since I signed him and he lives at home, will the hospital somehow hold me responsible for those bills?

I live in the north, roads were very icy. Driving home last week slightly below speed limit. I was in left lane, car to my immediate right in right lane, started to swerve into my lane, I tried to avoid him by going to my left. At that time, we both hit an ice patch and I spun out of control hitting the guard rail. From that time on I basically blacked out and came to a few minutes later walking around in the snow. Ambulance came, police etc. The other driver must have kept going. No wittnesses at all!

My car was totaled and I do carry uninsured coverage. I was transported to hospital. Diagnosed with a consusion, needed 4 stitches, has bruising etc. Cat scan exrays were done.

The police report simply states a single car accident, caused by icy conditions. I recall telling him about the other car forcing me into the ditch, but he never added it to report. As the ambulace was tneding to me, another car crashed in the same spot. It was insane. Will unisured coverage cover this?

I was involved in a multiple rear end collision in CA. I was the middle car of the 3 cars involved in it. I saw the truck in front of me suddenly brake and come to a near stop. I started to brake as well. As I was getting to stop, I felt a bump from behind and I realised I have been hit from behind. Then I hit the truck in front of me. I have extensive damages to my car , the truck in front of me has little damages. My questions is who would be held liable for the accident? The two collisions were just instances apart and I can't say for sure which one happened first. But I m planning to tell my insurance the rear collision happened first. Can I be held liable for making a wrong statement? I can say I wasn't sure which one happened first, but I have been told by people to make only firm statements to the insurance companies. Any advice on this will be very useful. Thanks!

At 18 my parents took me to get a car for myself, I paid aprox. $4500 dollars on the car that costed $10200, Dad paid the rest. I was the primary driver of the car for 2 years untill I decided that my parents were over controling and I moved out. I took the car with me and my dad called me as I was driving and said he'd call the police if I didn't bring the car back because it is his name and he will report it stolen. So I took the car back and left.

I asked for the money I paid on it if they (parents) aren't going to let me have the car and they refuse to let me have money for it.

Am I entitled to recieve the money I paid on it or not, I am now 20 years old.

My wife and I got rear-ended by a truck at a pretty high speed, it totaled the car and my wife and I were taken out on stretchers in an ambulance. We both got hurt (my seatbelt didn't work) and are recovering now. It's Sunday so I haven't called my insurance company yet. What will be the steps taken? I didn't get any information at the scene (I think my wife has the report # from the police) as we were both pretty out of it.
Should I get a lawyer to handle everything? Or will the insurance companies work everything out themselves?

the other driver agreed to let me pay damages on a fender bender his car 87-88 datsun, then he calls me up and says he is going to fix it himself (the driveshaft is bent, even though he drove it all around the parking lot, he says he is going to buy the parts and fix himself) and just give him $500.00. should i just pay him, even though this sounds untrue

In Feb, my Xbf wrecked my '01 bmw 325xi, I had state farm insurance at the time (Had them for 22 years !)...They used junkyard parts on my car and now the control arm, ball joint has gone bad...AND it'll need lined up and two new front tires..I'm still waiting to hear from State farm as to what they're going to do about it..The adjuster apparently picked apart my car trying to somehow blame the part failure on me...The owner of the shop that did the work is almost as angry about it as I am because he didn't want to use the junkyard parts to start with !

I guess my question is, if State farm does'nt want to pay for all the repairs, what can I do ?
