IT DEPENDS ON WHAT HIS DRIVING RECORD LOOKS LIKE BUT NO MATTER WHAT ITS NOT GOING TO BE CHEAP A 350Z IS CONSIDERD A SPORTS CAR AND WITH THE BOY BEING ONLY 16 IT WILL COST MORE BECAUSE THE INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE GOING TO ASSUME HE IS RACING IN IT WITCH HE PROBABLY WILL BUT THIS SHOULD HELP WHEN I WAS 18 I PURCASHED A 350Z AND MY DRIVING RECORD WAS PERFECT BUT IT STILL TOOK A 700 HUNDRED DOLLAR DOWN PAYMENT AND 346 A MONTH FOR FULL COVERAGE

It will cost you a LOT! .. Here are just some of the things going against you:
1. 16 years of age = no experience and you're considered high risk.
2. 350Z = High performance car
3. Vegas = High risk area
4. Less than three years experience = NO good driver disc.
5. If you have moving violations or at fault accidents, it even gets worse.
6. The temptation to show off and go fast is there... that's trouble knocking, not to mention getting hurt and might incapacitate you. Even if you can afford it, the Nissan 350Z is too much car for someone inexperienced, especially for a 16 year old teenager.
Buy a used car (older model), get EXPERIENCED and save up for later. You have a long life ahead of you. Nice cars will always be around.

Typically, insurance rates will vary from State to State and can even vary by ZIPCODE! It also will depend on the type of car/truck, coverages, limits of liability, and driving record. Some companies run credit scorees and MOST run a motor vehicel report and CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report to see about undisclosed accident involvement.
The best thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent, after you turn 18. Don't go across town, or to some other city - look for someone CLOSE. Just look in the phone book for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and you will find a professional licensed agent that will be able to help you solve your insurance problems, and give you rate comparisons of several different companies. Be sure to ask them if they have someone that specializes in youthful operators.
An independent insurance agent will normally have a dozen different companies and if he cannot help you, he should be networked with other local agents that can.
At any rate, you would probably come out cheaper by being insured on your parents' policy. When do you turn 18? Since you are only 17, you cannot sign an insurance application since you are not old enough to sign a contract - and, an insurance policy IS a contract between you and the insurance company.
Most of the replies on this site will either say "go to this on-line carrier or that on-line carrier or that 1-800 number" but I'm sure that when you do, you will find some impersonal computer user with a script to work from and you won't be able to talk with the same person every time you have a problem! Others on this site will just type a bunch of junk, just to hear their keyboard clicking and to see their name in print!
Good luck, drive RESPONSIBLY and I hope this helps

A fortune. A high-powered sports car and a male, inexperienced driver means expensive insurance.

That will depend on where you live most of all.
Many insurers give a 'good student' discount.
A lot more $$$ than if you were a girl.

Go on "Einsurance' and apply. You don't have to buy it, just get an estimate. Be sure to buckle your seat belt before it comes in.
