in about a year and wondering what car is good to get for under 10 grand (i dont have the money yet im going to save up and wanting to know what to look for. and it dosent matter if its used or new to me) and what kind of things am i going to need to know for the tests

If you decide on any "sporty" models, be ready to pay high insurance premiums. You could probably contact your parents insurance company to get info on the costs of many different types of cars as far as insurance costs.
