heres the situation:

My friend just has a permit and let me drive his car. We were driving and i got nervous and hit a parked vehicle. Both cars were dinged up pretty good but we just "hit and ran". A few days later my friend got a letter basically telling him we were caught. So my friend, his parents and i are suppose to go talk to the owner of the car we hit tomorrow.

Am i going to have to pay for anything? Will my friend lose his permit? What will happen?

I'm 19 years old and so is my friend.

The wreck happened tonight and I went and took pictures of the accident . Can I sell these to the insurance companies or any one. I did not see anyone else from the police taking pictures. The driver of the vehicle was unisured and had a crack pipe in his truck, but he hit a house and the owner was not home. I am sure he has homeowners and he was getting to the scene as i was leaving.

If you are not at fault in an accident, what will your insurance company do in order to get your car fixed? How much help will they give you, or are we supposed to settle everything, make the calls etc. with the other carriers insurance. I was hit from behind while I was stopped at a yield sign. The other drivers fault ( a no-brainer). Yet I am getting different information from my agent, the other drivers agent, and even the auto-repair shop !!! Any feedback will help greatly.

Someone hit my car and swore up and down that I hit her. The police did not write up a report since both of us were able to drive away. Now I've received a note from her insurance company that says:

"We've completed our investigation concerning the above refernced accident. Our investigation indicates that red light dispute; no evidence to support either version. Please understand that our obligation is only pay those claims which our insured is liable. Based on the above facts, we have concluded that our insured is not liable for htis loss. Therefore, we must respectfully deny your claim."

It hit me and the police report said its his fault. I have no insurance so the trucks insurance company looks at my car and says the care is worth $1,500 but the damage is $3,700. so they say they can either take my car and give me $1,700 for it or I keep it and they give me $1,200

I don't see how thats helping me. It seems like I am coming out worse. If I keep the car and they give me the 1,200 how will I get my car fixed if the damge is worth 3,700?

Can they do this or are they trying to get over

I live in the Republic. My UK car tax has run out and I tried to tax it in NI but they don't sell car tax for English cars in NI for some unknown reason. I couldn't register the car in the Republic because I am leaving back for England in two months and I have to drive to Belfast airport to catch a plane on Monday. How can I do this legally? Have I got any excuse for having an untaxed car?

If you're driving at a normal speed and then a bicyclist is on the right side of you and as you drive he begins to merge in front of your car. It was so close and you tried to stop but couldn't not prevent from hitting him even though you're very cautious.

Is it your fault if you hit him and he dies ?

I havent paid my car note in 45 days, Im sure that pretty soon I will be on the Repo list. Im thinking about just giving the car back as voluntary. If so do you think that this would look bad on your credit as voluntary and also will you still be obligated to still pay them back?

Now my car is only 5 monthes old so im surely not going to get what i owe on it. What do i do?

I was coming out of my work on monday night. There was a car infront of me. Both of us stopped on the intersection. And on the intersection my car touched here rear bumper. It was not a big collision (it was not even a collision.)

So I came out of the car and asked her if she was okay. She was fine, so was I. I checked my car , nothing was wrong and there was nothing wrong with her car as well. But she told me there was a scratch on her bumper, but there was none. So I gave her my first name and my number and we left.

The next day his boyfriend called me and asked me about my Insurance registration number. He was telling me that there was a scratch on her bumber and it needs to be fixed. I told him there was none. Then he told me that he has not filed a police complaint and he told me that it might be necessary. So I told him to not to do anything and told him that I will take care of the "scratch on the bumper"

I think these people are trying to rip me off. Any help

My stepdaughter has been driving a car that is in my name eversince her mom and I got separated. We never had communication. But last week, my car insurance informed me that the car that my stepdaughter used rear-ended the other car and they rejected the claim. They informed me that the car owner might file a claim directly against me. IS it really possible? The car is in my name but i wasnt driving it eversince. Will I still be liable for the accident? what about my stepdaughter?

Ok...so let me first off say that iam scared out of my mind. This is my first accident and OF course it has to happen the day before i change my insurance over. I was involved in a minor fender bender of which i took full responsibility for. The damage to her car was very minor. Mostly paint from my license plate frame and some minor paint job work and she was not hurt at all. I know i was wrong for driving without insurance...i know i made a huge mistake i'm just so scared that they are going to sue me. She is being really sweet about it so far but i'm calling her and her husband in a few minutes to talk about and could use some advice before i make the call. My insurance kicks in today but of course it wont cover it since the accident was yesterday and i can pay for it out of the pocket i'm just soooo soo scared that they are going to press charges or call the police on me. I'm not a bad guy just unlucky to get my sandal caught between the brake pedal and gas on a rain slicked road

Ok, I'm 18 and getting a car soon.

What is the insurance based on? (besides age)
Do they ask you how much you paid for the car? and how much mileage was on it when you brought it?

Cuz my mom says the insurance will cost just about the same as you brought the car for??!?
