I reciently got into a car accident where I rearended someone. I was inbetween jobs at the time and I paid the insurance late, and was told that I WAS NOT INSURED AT THE TIME OF ACCIDENT. I have no credit, credit cards, and own a $2k truck. I rent a room from a home owner........My question is what will happen to me? Will his insurance supina me to court and sue, and even if they don't sue and just attempt to collect the approx. $4k in damage, CAN THEY GARNISH MY WAGES? Besides this incidnet, I have a safe drivers and haven't gotten into an accident in about a decade! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I just recently hit a deer and the only car damaged was mine. I am covered under my policy b/cause I had comprehensive. Here's my question: Will my insurance premuims go up if I use the dealership's auto body shop and not the insurance company's auto body shop? This is the first claim I have had with this company and I have been with them for over 7 years.

Ok, so I have about $1900 left to pay on my car, and I absolutely hate my car and can't wait to get rid of it ... but I want to finish paying it off before I trade it in. Well, I went searching for a title last night (in my glovebox ... only place I could think of that I would have it ... silly I know) and came up empty. My grandmother and I got the car together (as in her name is on the car with mine ... I was only 19 when I got the car and had no credit, so we used her credit). Well my grandmother passed away a little over a year ago. So I assumed the title was somewhere in her files and stuff in her house. I mentioned it to someone who told me that my grandma wouldn't have the title. That I won't get a title until I finish paying off GMAC. Is that how it works?

With permission, I drove my uncle's car which is insured under his name. (My name is not on his insurance card.)
I got pulled over a month ago (no accident) and now I was scheduled for a court appearance because I filed "not guity".
At the time of getting pulled over, I couldn't find where my uncle put his insurance card, so the cop just gave me a ticket and told me to file "not guilty".

I am wondering what the consequence would be in the court. I have never been to any court and kind of nervous. All I can think about is this case and it is affecting my daily activities. Does anyone know what the penalty would be if i found guilty? Would my liscense be suspended??
I don't really care about getting fine now. I just want to get this over with. (should I get a lawyer?) I really appreciate your time. Thanks.

Back in 2005, I got 2 speeding tickets, & I paid them off. 2007 is almost over. Is my driving record still bad or is it clear? Many people tell me my driving record will follow me for 7-10 yrs. & others say that after 1 yr. I'll be fine & have all my merits back. I'm trying to get a driving job.

I heard that if someone hits the back of your car for any reason as long as you are driving on the right side of the road, then it is their fault. This includes if you have to stop suddenly because of a pedestrian because it would be their fault for following too closely. Is this true? Also I need proof that this is true.

i have owned my car for 3yrs now but when i tried to renew my registration this year the dmv told me i dont own the car anymore but they sent me a renewal form in the mail anyway. They are not being helpful at all. When i pulled a car fax report i learnt that my car has been sold twice this year but i havent sold it to anyone and still have my title and actual physical car with me. Anyone have any idea what the problem is here?

Where is a respectful Drivers Education School in Chicago, Illinois? A school that has excellent reputation and worthwhile driving instructors that are patient and have respect? Also reasonable prices for the courses. I've tried the Yellow Pages, so I DON'T NEED THAT ADVICE. Something that's affordable for my pocket. Serious responses ONLY!

I have been paying $150 for my car insurance for the past year, but now my dad just told me that it went up and know i have to pay $250. Why is that if I haven't got into any accident or anything. Or is he lying to me?

Seems like if I want my car back, I shouldn't get a settlement check too. My car really isn't damaged too much. I am not complaining....I get $2000 out of it and my car is easily still drivable.

When I go to the Kelly blue book website there is am option to see what the car is worth under retail value or personal sale value. If my car (which is basically totaled) is being appraised by an insurance company which figure do they go by?

How old do you have to be to get your learner's permit in PA. I have heard that you can be younger than 16. Is that true? Do you think I would be able to get it a couple days early?

Links to where you found the information would be useful.

Thanks in advance ♥

We puchased our new grand caravan saturday and my wife was in a accident on Friday. Were looking at I'm guessing 12000 dollars in damage and I talked to the dealership and they said they would deduct 2000 dollars from the book value because of the carfax. How should I handle this with my insurance company. They refuse to total a 08 caravan with 300 miles. Were just heartbroken and confused.

My ex-fiance purchased a car for me which he is still making payments on...the car was in my name although he was the one making the payments. He is also listed on the contract with the car dealership but not on any of the DMV information. I have since moved out of the state. The insurance is in my name but that is the easy part. I was wondering how do I get my name off the registration. I know he is still driving the car everyday now that I am gone and the plates and everything are registered under my license. What steps do I need to take. I can't go back to the state right now to take care of it.
