Looks like this is still pending on my record even though I am cleared at the DMV. I don't want to be in trouble, is this a formality?

A lot of places do it that way. The money you pay for the ticket is considered bail, and you have the option of forfeiting the bail instead of going to trial. There's nothing wrong. That's just what they say when you pay the ticket without contesting it.

Call them. Get someone with a pulse on the phone and ask them very specifically. I wouldn't put too much trust in a government's online information.

I WOULD MAKE IT A POINT TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF IN PERSON AND NOT JUST WRITE IT OFF AS A MISTAKE.
