I dont have insurance on his car, but we both have the same insurance companies?

I have bad weather and wanted to drive his suv for 1 day b/c i'm going long distance. if i'm pulled over, am i in trouble?

You're not in trouble if you get pulled over, but you might be in trouble if you get in an accident.

To be sure, you should be listed as a driver on his policy - and he should be listed as a driver on yours. Some policies will have household members excluded from coverage if they aren't listed. We have no idea if your policy - or his - is one of those.

No, I doubt you'd be in trouble, as insurance usually covers the vehicle, not the specific driver. And since you are brothers, and you did borrow his vehicle with his permission, you should be covered even if you got into an accident (and you won't, right?)

if your brother has insurance on the car and you have his permission to drive it, then you are covered under his policy. insurance follows the car, not the driver

Read his policy. If it has a guest driver rule, you should be included.

FOR PROTECTION TO YOUR BROTHER I WOULD CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND TELL THEM WHAT YOU ARE PLANNING TO DO.
