I have an 01 Nissan Sentra SE. Completely stock, the only after market accessory I have is a car starter installed about 3 month ago. About a month ago every time I start my car the rear speakers make a very high pitch whining noise for anywhere from a few seconds to half an hour. Usually before it stop you can hear it almost fizzling out. Some times it will stop and then start again a little while later. I recently instated a small capacitor (Size of a C cell battery) to my battery but have no noticed any real difference. I called Nissan today and the service advisor told me it might be a grounding error with my starter, but said it was only a guess. So im just wondering if it could be a grounding error or something else and how I would go about finding and fixing this very annoying problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Grounding problem sounds correct.

If the starter was replaced, and you noticed the problem, that's the first place to start looking for the cause of the problem. But a poorly connected ground strap will cause the problems you are experiencing.

My guess is that your picking up road noise through your speakers due to the battery, or some ill wired equipment like your remote start, take it back to whoever installed it and tell them what's going on, it probably is a grounding error caused by them.

I'm kinda disappointed to see someone made a whiney wife comment already but oh well.
If you have a voltmeter you can test the ground on the starter or other places.

i might verify the U joints on your driveshaft and the rear wheel bearings. maximum good U joints have grease fittings try greasing them and if that do no longer artwork then extra beneficial than possibly its the wheel bearings if this replaced into going on in the previous you replaced the trans. fluid. If the noise happend when you replaced the trans. fluid then i may well be double checking what you probably did and making shure the splendid fluid have been given put in with the aid of fact there is categories this one i think of could take ATF 4 5.5 for 2wd and six.5 for 4x4
