I am buying a used car and my insurance company says it needs to be smog tested, i would like to know who has to pay for the smog test the seller or the buyer if you already agreed on buying the car but have not transfered the names on the registration.

I can pick up from pretty much anywhere. The head gasket has blown on mine. I don't have any money to fix it, I'm pretty screwed without one. If anyone has one that is lying around without tax or MOT but working I would really appreciate the help. I could even do a swap for mine or something. I am in wales

The KBB on the car is 1600 but, I got into a minor accident and it needs a radiator (which you can get at U Pull It for about $80), a new front bumper and new headlights. Theres also a few other minor things wrong with it such as: the moonroof isnt working and the drivers side window doesnt roll down. It has electric everything , tilt, a cd player, & cruise control. We thought about putting it on Craigslist for a parts car or for a mechanic. What should we put as the asking price? Thank you!

PS. It has a nice engine in it.

I want a new car with lower payments, but the car I have now is worth nothing, basically. I was advised to just buy a second car and have someone take over my old car payments because the dealers will not accept that car as a trade in. If the old car payments are not made then the car will be repossesed. But, I will have my new car so it wouldn't make a difference.

2008 Chevy Aveo - New
2007 Ford Focus ZX3 - 7,000 miles
2007 Kia Rio - 12,000 miles

I haven't heard a lot of good info on the Aveo. We are looking to purchase a smaller vehicle b/c we have street parking in the city. We're looking for 10-13k in price and all three of these fit the description. Should I go w/ one of these cars, or should we keep looking elsewhere?

Im just confused how this works. I was going to buy a new chevy from an authorized dealer and my credit ran for a 8.99 percent for 5 and half yr financing term. But i decided against the new car and found a good used car i want from a private dealer and when he ran my credit he was saying its good and gave me a 11.9 for 5 year term. I think thats pretty high. I understand when you finance a used car for a SHORTER term they usually raise the interest rate. But im financing a 5 year and 3 month term...i think 11.9 percent is a high interest rate. The car is a little over 13, 000 (with the extended warranty, taxes, and registration included) with a 3,000 deposit. Does anyone know what my percent rate really should be with good credit?

I need to sell my 95 Acura Integra (it's my secondary car) for college money for this upcoming semester. It's one owner, my grandma's car, and meticulously maintained, always serviced at Acura dealership. The motor runs strong like new, and needs nothing. The car is awesome and I don't really even want to part with it. But it has 170,000 (mostly highway) miles. The book value is $3,000 but I'm asking $2,700. It's on craigslist and if I list the mileage, I don't get any replys. If I leave the mileage out, I get calls asking the mileage then they hang up saying "no thanks" and won't even come look at it. How can I get these idiots (potential buyers) to realize it's worth? What can I say? I need the extra money for school

when reporting my jeep stolen the police can't complete the report because the vin# does not go with the vehicle i purchased. they say it's a bum #. The dealership insists it is correct. It is the same # on the title paperwork issued from the state of MO, on the car fax ect.. But some thief is riding around in my '06 jeep and the police can't do anything. Please tell me the sale was illegal!!!!

Here are my options:
-Audi a4 96-01
-Honda prelude 97-01
-Honda civic si 00-01
-Honda accord 00-02
-Mitsubishi eclipse 00-05
- Volkswagen jetta 00-04

which one of these would be most practical for a 16 yr old, mpg, insurance, coolness, repair bills, and reliability wise

of course i would get it in a stick shift, low miles (under 100k) and most likely from a private seller, because most dealers are rip offs

I'm planning on purchasing a small car when I learn how to drive and get my license. (I'm So Scared, Ah!) I want something small because I feel more comfortable and I feel like if I was to drive a bigger car I will probably crash it. So i'm goin small. Whats a good small car to have if i'm just starting to drive? Thats not too ugly either.

I want to buy a new car, but i dont want to deal with payments or big dealers due to the limited time i have. Some friends recommended the car auctions held by the city, or cars that have been impounded.

Has anyone ever bought a car from these "car auctions"? How does the process work? Are there reasonable price ranges? Are the cars in good condition?

I own a 2000 Ford FocusZX3: Kona edition. It's in great shape, and has been maintained superbly. The only down side to this car is that it has 140,000 miles. Most of those miles, however, are Highway miles. This was a limited edition Focus, and only 5,000 were made. The retail value was $14,000, and private party value is around $4000.

Well, I got approved for a car loan from the bank. Now what? Is it as easy as going to a dealer and getting the car at an amount lower than the loan? Also, I just moved to this state? I have yet to become a resident? DMV is closed today and through new year but incentives to buy expire on Jan. 2. Would me not being a resident matter?

Hi All,

I`ve been searching for a luton van that can take a payload that is 7 and 3\4 feet (2.36m wide). Most transit or LDV style Lutons seem to be only 7 feet.

I would prefer to stay with a 3.5ton vehicle rather than go up to a 7.5 tonner although I know these tend to be wider.

I`m Looking for a Transit / LDV/ Mercedes style luton Van or similar.

Does anyoneone know of a particular model that fits this description. I am not looking for a new model. Any old banger will do as long as it can take this wide load.

Thanks for your help.
