I know my product and sell pretty well , but I try to make my customers feel at ease and allow them to leave the showroom sometimes before finding their reasons for not buying.I want to make it easier for my customers to get the best deal but they seem to think that we(salesmen) always have something up our sleeves.Still I cannot seem to break that 15-18 car/month threshold.Anyone have any advice?

I recently signed a single page A4 contract, it was folded in half. I read and signed the first side, the dealer then lifted the page off the table, and turned it over displaying the other side. I read and signed that side.
Am I legally bound to conditions that were on the inside of the folded sheet, that I didn't know about, and the dealer made no attempt to show me (infact I think he attempted to hide them from me).
Thank you all in advance so much for your help.

My driving instructor is selling her 2005 Clio. It has power steering, anti lock breaks and air con.
I wondered if it wouldnt be so good because of the hammering it takes from all the learners (including myself!!!!), but then i guess she does have to keep it in tip-top condition for business.
It would be nice to buy it as its what ive been learning in.
Not sure about the mileage.

What would be a good price, and good mileage??

Thanks :0)

i have a son who turned 18 few weeks back, and for the first time i let him make an independent decision since he is adult -- to buy the car he likes. i provided him $8000 to buy some used car. He wanted to give me a pleasant surprise about what kind of car he bought. i was thinking maybe it'd be a 1999 or 2000 camry or something similar. But instead he bought a 1984 toyota corolla --- for $8000. He says the guy who sold him the 84 corolla asked $8000 and he gave it to him. The car turned out to be lemon and keeps falling apart every week and ends up in mechanic's shop. How could my son do such a foolish act? i tried to contact the man to tell him that he ripped off my son but the man says nothing illegal was done and that he is free to decide the price of what he sells and my son willingly bought it. Can legal action be taken against the man for selling a lemon at such outrageous price?

I would like a truck, but I don't know if that is the best choice. Any thoughts on what would last a while and not break down easily?

I havent made this decision yet but I am thinking of doing it. Income is about 60k before taxes. I have a car note right now of $550. I am going to trade that in for a different one, and I estimate about a $700/month payment. Rent is about 800/month, utilities about another 200, car insurance is 117, probably will go up on the newer car. I dont smoke or drink so I dont have those expenses.

I need a car asap and would really like the 2008 Malibu, but local dealers have informed me that I’ll have to wait two months before it is up for sale. I am wondering it if the wait is worth it. I am undecided between the Malibu, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Nissan Altima. What do you guys think is a better car and a better buy? I am looking to buy a car asap, so I would appreciate replies asap. Thanks in advance!

We recently sold a car as a "parts car", being honest--we had a clear title, it was an old car with the frame rusted through. The buyer came with a tow device, and said he wanted to buy the car as a donor car for another car he had.

The first red flag was, he said he was a notary, and notarized the title himself. We don't know if he filled in his name on the title--we had never sold a car this way.

Anyway, he bought the car (for very little money), and I called the DMV being nervous about the damaged frame--they told me I could be held liable if this guy sells the car to be on the road, and I should get a copy of the title and junk it, to protect myself and others.

When I called the guy, he said he thought the damage wasn't that severe and wanted to repair the car (it's a uniframe, 15 yr old car, the frame shop told us it couldn't be made safe by welding the frame--a new frame would cost far more than the car is worth).

This car shouldn't be on the road--what do we do now?

I am wanting to get a Honda CRV, and just spent some time online looking at a lot of them. There were 4WDs and 2WDs, and the 2WDs were cheaper. Right now, I live in Houston, TX, but I am planning on moving to Colorado some time within the next year. Would a 4WD come in handy in Colorado for some reason??? I have just never understood the big deal about a 4WD (can you tell I'm a female?). Can someone please educate me? Thanks!!!
