I drive a 2005 Hyandi Tiburion. It has around 30,000 miles on it. I looked on Blue Book and trade in value is around $11,000 and I still owe around $15,000 . My currenty payment is $366.68 a month, which estimates to around 4 years left. Is there any change I could trade in for something cheaper?

I plan on getting a loan from my credit union. I owe about $12000 and the Kelly Blue Book has its trade in value at $8675. I have never had any problems with it and i wouldn't say it's in excellent condition but it is in very good condition. Just want to be as informed as I possibly can be. So any input would be valuable.

When someone says they are putting lets say $3,000 down on a car, are they putting money towards the car or something else. Or when commercials say "0 down."

How much money can car salesman or dealers play with under msrp? How can car dealers knock off $10,000 on some vehicles and $1,000 of other vehicles? Or one day offer an amount off and change it a month later?

I really like the 08 Lancer which i think looks so cool and i heard lancers are fast but i also the the new civic or the new sentra. My friend just got a scion tc and now i want a car that looks better and is faster. I'm getting the base models though cause there cheaper and im getting a manual.(he's got an automatic) Which car should i get or should i look at different cars in the under $20,000 price range?

I'm looking to first car for myself, and I'll just say I am able to get a nice one as my first. The thing is, what people tell me, including my parents is that if I get a nice car as my first, I know I will be devastated when anything happens to it, even a minor scratch. And if I drive it improperly, hitting something, it would be expensive to repair.

But then, another part of my mind says that if I'm able to have a full license, I'm qualified enough to be a decent driver, being capable of being careful.

So I don't know what to do. Would it make sense if I got a crappy car to learn on for a year or 2, letting me make mistakes on it, and when college comes around, I get a nice car?

Does that make sense? Do other people actually do that?

Or did anyone here get a nice car as their first, and was responsible with it?

I want to buy a BMW that is expected to arrive at the dealer's store by the end of the month. I will also have to put down a 20-50% deposit for the car probably. However, I do not want to go around chasing the car dealer if the car is delayed or if it differs from the specifiaction list (e.g. options, extras...) Should I draft up some kind of an agreement and have the dealer sign it e.g. somethng with penalty clauses...I am no lawyer but maybe I can do a good job of it?

By the way, I thought BMW is also manufactured in the USA, no?

Hey, I'm 17 and when I'm 18 I can spend my savings account to buy a car (I'm willing to spend about £5000 on the car and £1500 on insurance £500 or whatever on road tax).
I have to have a 4x4 because we live on a farm and the driveway would be impossible for a low down car to not get stuck in, specially when it rains. Otherwise I would prefer a normall car as they're cheaper to run.
Does anyone know what would be a good first car for me? One that's maybe a 2001 model and that's relatively safe. It needs to have 4WD and as economical as 4x4s can get.
I was thinking about a Vauxhall Frontera 2.0 as the engine is quite small and that will lower my insurance fee which will be high anyway as I'm a male new driver. Is the Frontera any good? Or are there others in a similar price range and with small engines? Realiabilty and style design are also important.

Any advice will be useful thanks :)

I'm military and stationed in MD at the moment. I have my current car registered in FL. I plan on purchasing a car here in MD soon and needed to know if I can still keep the new car I buy registered in FL? If yes, will I be charged the state sales tax for FL or for MD? What's the percentage for each state?

I don't really know anything about leasing but I do know that I am the type to get bored of a car very quickly and would probably never keep a car 5 years to pay it off. I would like to look into leasing options.

What are the differences between leasing and buying and what are some pro's and con's?

It's been called a Chenowith, Chenoweth, DPV (Desert Patrol Vehicle), FAV (Fast Attack Vehicle) but can't find one to buy in the UK.

It looks like a suped up dune buggy with gun turrets!!

It's 3 Seats, looks like a VW engine in the back but probably GM.

Anyone know where I can get one from in the UK? Or even buy and ship from the states if the rates are good!!

Hope someone out there knows!
