I bought a 1994 acura integra and i need to know who owned it (all previous owners) and their contact info, so i can ask them if certain maintenance was done. i have tried carfax and this info is not available through them.

Well, if somebody called me out of the blue and asked me about a car I had traded 10 years ago I would be hanging up on them. There are privacy laws. A mechanic can put the car on a schedule for you based on condition today, not what was done years ago.

It's virtually impossible to get that information. The DMV doesn't give out information on owners for what should be obvious security and safety reasons. Your best bet would be to ask the person you bought it from for any maintenance records that they have. They may recall who they purchased it from and may be willing to provide that. If they bought it some time ago, they've likely forgotten all about that though. On top of that, I wouldn't expect them to hang on to old maintenance records on a car that they no longer own; I certainly don't.

the privacy act will make getting that info near impossible, and illegal if anyone were to be dumb enough to give it out. perform a visual inspection of all in question items and decide if they need attention or not.

if you already own the car, it shouldn't matter. you should maintain your car regardless of the other owners. by the way, it will be next to impossible to find all that out.

this is all considered to be private information,and people don't like to be bothered sometimes,unless you have records you may not find out any previous owners names,good luck with it.
