OMG! You are licky- AND rich - lol!
Consider operating costs (unless your folks are also keeping the gas tank full for you). Get what you NEED, not just what everyone else tells you what they think you want. If you're hauling drums or PA equipment for the band, then by all means get something with some cargo space. If it's just you and the occasionaly girlfriend, then a cool Civic or integra might fit the bill. Everyone's different- just don't fall in the trap where you're working two jobs just to keep gas in your truck so you can keep getting to work every day..........
Oh, and BTW- chances are really good that your first car will end up wrecked during the first year or two, so you might want to consider going cheap and putting the rest in the bank until you get more road experience. THEN you can get what you really want.
Good luck

You can't go wrong with an American made car you know. What about a Chevrolet cobalt, ford tauras, dodge caliber. Those all get good ratings and they have balls at least some of them do. Like someone else said don't go buy a Cadillac your first time out and then someone hits you and your screwed. Personally I would go with something about 2000 maybe a little older that way if something happens to it its not that much of a loss. Plus the newer the car is and you age factors in your insurance prices. Are you parents paying for insurance, gas, etc. Oh by the way not to offend anyone but if your going to put down all these answers not saying you are you could always do the research yourself. Good Luck I hope your make the right decision and get yourself a reliable car.

How about asking for a cheaper car (5000) for now, just to get started. Suggest the possibility of an upgrade for graduation. That way you will have an idea of what you will want later, without having fenders crumpled.
Young drivers have a high probability of fender benders. Save your parents, and you, some of the agrivation of a mangled $21,000 heap of junk.
Trust me. Dented up BMW, Benz and the like look no better than a Honda.
Good Luck

I'd recommend:
a 2004 BMW 5 series here's a pic:

or lastly, a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr:

or a Cadillac CTS-V or CTS:

whatever you get you better ******* appreciate it, I have to work my *** off for the next 28 months to afford a $2000 dollar car. Minimum 12 hours of work each weekend, + school (ap classes) some people get stuff handed to them, you better enjoy it while it lasts until you get into the real world.
and yeah, i'm 16.
