I recently purchased a car. After a few weeks of getting everything in to get financing approved the dealer has now called and said that the APR was a promotion for a 2007 model and they sold me a 2008. Do I have to sign a new contract and change cars after the financing has been approved and the contract has been signed?

Currently have a mini van that I love but i am moving to California, and ready for a change. I have 2 year old twins and an 8 year old who always has someone with her. Traded in Expidition for Van because the older kids would have to climb over seats to get in the back unless i unbuckled car seats. Here is what I want a small SUV with 2 bucket seats in middle and third full seat. Any suggestions

The first month's payment was in the $3000 drive off. 36 months, 10,000 miles a year. I got a call from the dealer a week after we made the deal, saying that I don't have enough credit history, and I'd have to strike a new deal, this one with $14,000 down, and $1250/month payments. I can give them back the car (don't know the terms of that yet). What should I do? I love the car, but $14,000 down is excessive.

I have since realized that this was a scam & don't really need it since it's a Toyota. The warranty is 7 yrs/100,000 & cost $1560.00. I read through the service contract & it says I have 60 days to cancel but if I cancel in the first 30 days I don't have to pay the $50 cancellation fee.

I really want to cancel but I'm scared of the Business Manager! I spoke to him yesterday abt something regarding my loan & told him that I had concerns over the warranty. He said no it's a great warranty company. I could sense his anger.

I almost want to forget it but then I think I shouldn't do that b/c this isn't right for me. I always have a problem sticking up for myself.

How should I handle this? What can I do to build a backbone? I'm an older single woman - 47 - & I always shy away from controversy. I need help. Please someone help!

I bought a 1990 honda CRX from a private party few days ago. They said everything was in excellent working condition. Everything was find when i test drove it but when i brought it home next morning it wouldn't start. Owner told me that motor was replaced and only has about 45-50k miles and that he used it for commuting. I called them and they told me i bought it as is and they wont take it back. They said the car has never done anything like that before and that it was I who broke it. I haven't done anything to the car beside clean it.

I have no clue what to do if anybody could help me i would really appreciate it.

I have an 01 accord 4 dr. the transmission went out once at 58k miles and it was replaced for free because it was under factory warranty. Now its at 109k miles and the transmission is starting to act up again. But it is very hard to tell. only certain times in the morning it revs up.

I have a feeling it is going to get worse. Should I invest in a new car right now or should I put a new transmission in this one. I dont believe in putting money into the car once its past 100k but at the same time If I were to buy a new car right now I will be streching myself pretty thin financially.

And yes I am aware of the factory recall on all 01 accords and this is not covered under that recall.

My brother's girlfriends family wants to sell me their 1998 Ford Explorer and I want to buy it.

They said they want Blue Book value for it. KBB.COM says the Blue Book value is $4500.

But, Edmunds says that you should pay $3500 to a private seller for it.

What gives?

I’ve heard that car dealerships have a two-thousand dollar negotiating window. If I buy a car for twenty-seven thousand I could possibly get it for twenty-five? How is this possible, and is this even true. Of course I’ve heard of negotiating with the dealer, but I never knew I could negotiate this low. Can I add in tax/title/miscellaneous in the price? Also, if I get a twenty-seven thousand dollar loan, and take this to the dealer after negotiating to twenty-five thousand, can I send the remaining two-thousand back to the loan company?

Thanks

im planning to buy a used car from a private seller, its a 2006 but has a salvaged title. it only has about 14K miles on it. checked it out under the hood and underneath, even test drove it, and found no problems whatsoever. the seller said he bought it off an auction and that it had been in a minor accident (fender bender in the rear), but he had it fixed to look like new so he could sell it. it even had the new car smell..
my question is, what could be the reason(s) why its salvaged? i feel like i want something to be wrong with this car, because of the salvaged title. is this legit, and am i just being paranoid?

So I put my car on various websites and people from overseas keep emailing me about it. The want to buy the car and pay for the shipment. It's weird just because the are overseas. One guy said he will send me 7000 USD, if I deduct the final price and then use the rest for the shipment cost to his private shipper. i don' t know whether to trust them. Or should I just let them send me the money and not ship the car. What? They are overseas, who cares.

Thanks for your help.
