After the seller signs the title, you will sign where is says buyer(s). You will then take that, plus proof of insurance, a valid drivers license, a police VIN check, and possibly emission test results if your car requires them. They will then give you the plates as well as a registration.

If there is no lien on the car, the new title will be sent to your house in a few weeks. I hope this helps.

Go to AAA for your notory and signing with owner.. A little extra cash and they will complete all paperwork 4 U!!

Go to the Department of Motor Vehicles with the pink slip. Tell them what you want, and pay the fees.

He signs the title over to you and you take it to the DMV.
