It's just a average price, so's the mileage, I wouldn't buy a used rental car

It's been beaten to desath and the milage is questionable

I saw a site where you can buy speedometers with low milage on them, a typical sales rep drives 40 thousand miles a year and never has their car serviced.

I have driven the focus 2 times oil burners and the transmission was bad on one.

For a little more look at a mitsubishi, my daughter bought one new 5 years ago and w/ maintenance never had a bit of trouble, I sold cars for a while but I could't lie so they let me go, I went w/her to buy the car and saved her 3,000 bucks, I'd go with any kid all salesmen lie, bring someone with a poker face and offer 20% less than list and say you don't want extra warantees, undercoating or even a radio, You can probably get a new lancer for 13k and finance through a credit union or your bank, put down as much as possible.

Don't look the salesman in the eye and stay away from him under the full moon tomorrow, hey may bite.

Talking from experience.

You didn't mention the body type or options package. According to kbb.com, the base model Focus is worth that. However, it was a rental car, so you don't know what the car has been put through. Get a carfax report, and have the car thoroughly checked out by a certified mechanic before you even consider buying it.

I just bought the same car for 18,000.00 4 miles on it. They are a great car so I would say yes its a good deal. I also bought a mustang 2002 which was a rental car with 32,000 on it and paid 19,000.00. If I was you I'd grab it.

Ford's warranty isn't worth it. Plus its a Ford, even Toyota is better than them, and that's saying something!
