I have a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT. Kelly Blue Book Trade-In value of $2,970 in Fair Condition. The paint is chipping, it has a big dent on the quarter panel, and it's electrically malfunctioning as well. It has an after-market spoiler. The car is in bad condition, but not worst of the worst. Do car dealers accept just any cars for trade-in? I want to trade my car in ... Do they accept any cars in any condition?

I need a car but have been denied from my bank and other sources because I just don't have enough income. It's a catch-22 because I'm a student and only have enough time for a part-time job, so therefore I only make about $400 a month. One loan I haven't tried is a private after-Stafford loan from Sallie Mae and other companies. One of the criteria on the application is if you need money for book, supplies, transportation, etc. My question is: Would a $16,000 loan for a car count for the transportation needs? I have a piece of crap Jeep right now with other 200,000 miles that I fear is going to break down any time I drive it, if that helps.

I am considering buying a car, but would like some opinions. I have a 2003 Pontiac -based on Kelly's Blue Book it's worth around $5,500. I owe $7,500.00 on my current vehicle.
I would like lower monthly payments & w/a down payment can probably achieve this and have a new car.
BUT, is it better to pay off my current loan OR buy a new car w/lower interest and lower monthly payments?

Also, I'm going to finance my vehicle w/the same company my current loan is with. Do you think they'll give me a better interest rate since my credit w/them is good? (Only 1; 30-day late payment since my loan originated in 2004.

i'm pretty sure they do, but why can't we just make all the jobs selling those makes of cars, like let honda buy out ford and take over their operations, let nissan buy out gmc.....i own a honda now and it's lasting way longer than any american car i've ever owned (pontiac, dodge, chevrolet, ford)

how many miles on the odometer is reasonable when you take delivery of a car that's supposed to be brand new? My dealer is getting me a vehicle that may have around 60 miles on it. It's an '07 model so it's been around for a year.

Ok, I know how dumb of me this was....I cosigned for a new vehicle loan for my boyfriend. He promised to make all the payments. He was never able to make even one complete one and never titled it or insured it. We have broken up and he still has the car. I am worried! No insurance equals BIG PROBLEM if he's in an accident. What do I need to do??? Please be gentle :)

I am upside down in a car and I owe 28,000 for it. In Kelly blue book I can get 17,000 for it. I also own a car which Kelly Blue Books at 3,500. I want to buy a car that is 24,000. My credit isn't great but not bad. I live in NC if that matters. Could someone give me an approximate car payment with the trade in and the negative equity and assume an interest rate? (whatever may be considered for a person with credit in the high 600's w/ no deliquent payments.)

I have just bought a "56" plate car from a franchised dealer for £11,000. Yesterday the log book arrived from the DVLA saying "congratulations, you are now the registered owner, instead of Hertz UK"

Nobody told me this was an ex rental car before I bought it, and I specifically asked the dealer before purchasing if it had been used as a taxi or private hire, and he told me no.

The car has given me no problems and seems fine, but when I come to sell it, surely a large chunk of its value would have been lost due to it being an ex rental.

Does anyone think I have a case to try and get a refund or some compensation, as I believe that I have been miss sold the car. I have only done 300miles in it.

Thanks, Paul

My husband and I are leasing a car. We've got about a year and a half left on it but the payments are astrionomical. We got in over our heads. Is it better for us to just suck it up and wait out the whole lease, or can we turn in the car early and take some sort of penalty? Will it damage our credit?
