A decent motorway jaunt is actually quite a good way to bed the car in for a couple of hundred miles. It's a nice easy, constant, gentle 2000-3000rpm which will be better for the car than the same mileage in stop-start town use. Just don't go for a real hard blast until it's done 1000 miles or so.

Running the car at a steady 70 for a good run will not harm your car and in fact will help it settle in very nicely. The only thing to avoid in a new car is over reving it - all your manoeuvring should be in the right gear at the right revs for at least the first 6-700 miles.

None, you can go on motorway straight away. just dont trash it too much ! modern cars dont really need "running in" any more just treat with respect for 1000 miles

You should be able to use a motorway straight away, just don't screw it for the first thousand miles

Nowadays there is no issue with "running in", just don't thrash it; cruising at 60 or so should be fine.
There are 2 issues though:
Drive it locally till you are happy it's been bolted together properly.
Drive it locally till you know where all the minor controls are - A wet night on the M-way is not the place to be if you are not certain where the lights, wipers, &c switches are.

Most cars you can beat up right out of the gate. with the exception of high performance engines, just go ahead and treat it like you stole it.
