I am looking to buy a cheap used car in the South London area (England).
I am looking for private adverts on the internet, such as the ones on www.gumtree.com

Does anyone know of any good websites listing used cars? (not car dealers)

I have spent many hours looking on ebay but the cars there are either very far away to test drive, or are on an auction- when I am looking to buy now.

Hey everyoooone.

For my 16t birthday on two weeks, my mom said part of my gift is $2,000 towards a car, if I can match what they are giving me, which will get me a $4,000 car or truck. If I am getting anymore money, I am unaware of it :)

I know every teenager wants their beautiful lifted truck with big offroad tires, just like I do.. For me it was a little Toyota, or an older GMC Sierra (though I am willing to accept the fact that I need something with better gas milage).

For a car, my first idea was a Pontiac Grand Am, because Ive seen several of those going for 4 or 5 thousand...

I live in Alaska, so something with 4 or all wheel drive would be optimum, but gas milage is also a bonus..

Should I be looking at cars or trucks?

any suggestions for reliable good cars that I could find in the 4k price range?

Well, its a 94 Buick Roadmaster and after he told us it was in perfect shape, new brakes, undercoated and driven well.
We found out that everything is going on it and to fix it would cost us almost as much as its worth.
He refuses to take it back and now calls himself a privite dealer, we also traded in our old car for it and he wonèt give that back.
Were up @#$% creek without a paddle and no money to fix it or get anything new.
What do you guys reccomend we do

I am buying a new car by the end of this month. I test drove both 2008 models last night. I have been driving an older Toyota Corolla for 7 years. I have seen the comparison charts and all that and they are nearly the same in all departments.

I just want to know from people's personal experiences which I should go with and WHY? I am not considering any other cars.

BTW, it will be either the Corolla CE model or the Civic DX model. I am trying to keep it at about 16k or less.

We sold a trailer to my husband's coworker but did not receive payment outright for it (we've learned from our mistake). We did use a bill of sale/contract and still have the title in hand. The buyer took possession of the trailer about 2 years ago (husband has been deployed since so I can't do much about it until he returns next month). The price of sale was $475. Buyer refused to heed repeated requests or return calls for payment. This guy still works at the location to which my husband will be returning. When my husband comes home, what's our best course of action?

Is it legal for a dealer to use their existing car loan as financing for a customer? EX. The customer buys the dealer's personal car, just continuing to make the dealer's payment. Can the dealer call this financing???? Is this legal? The dealer owes more on the car, than the customer owes the dealer. Legal issue? Shouldn't some type of paperwork be involved other than the customer applying to the dealer for financing? The financing is through a credit union.
loan, in their name, (the owner/operator) to finance a car for a customer?

I am looking to buy my first car and am trying to decide between a Ford Ranger and a Chevy S10. I would apprecaite the pros and cons of both and an opinion of which looks cooler. What ever I get I want an extended cab, a style side (not a stepside), maybe 4x4, year 1998+, with around an $8,000 dollar budget. Plus I am not looking for an Extreme package on the S10 but would not mind the Edge package on the Ranger. I later look to add a 4-6" lift with bigger tires and wheels. Tell me what I should get. Good answers that help me out will get some easy points!!!

and while I am very excited, I am also very frustrated! I'm going car shopping next week and I'm on a $2000 bucks budget because of how high everyone says my insurance will be. First things first, what do I look for in a car? Everyone tells me I should look into getting a nice civic or corolla, but I don't know what to look for and what questions to ask. Help!

Also, how much should I expect car insurance to do me for? Everyone scares me with some of the prices they say. Which is the best and cheapest? Btw I am 21 and I live in NYC, if that matters at all.

Thank in advance

These are English and were built by Austin, Morris and then Rover from mid 1960's to 1980. They look like Mr. Beans car with a pick-up bed on the back. Want it to be rust free as possible, other than that almost any other condition is OK. If outside of the US it must be drivable so as it can be shipped. If you know of a vehicle please feel free to contact me at spitracer1296 at yahoo dot com Thanks

i want probably a 2008 honda accord (my parents wont get me anything too flashy). i was wondering about how much would my down payment be? i dont think i have a credit score since im a minor but i dont know how that works either, would it depend on my parents credit score? im guessing minors cant techincally own cars........? like it would be under their names or we would cosign or something

i have $1500 saved up and my parents will chip in for down payment, i work two jobs so i can def pay the monthly quote. im jus wondering how the credit score thing will work and how i can calculate the down payment. basically i need to know how much cash i need. im trying to pay as much as possible so my parents wont have to come out of their pockets too much.

and yes they said i HAVE to have a new car....

Ok right now I am paying 425 dollars for my car monthly ( i am one month late rt now )
and i am also paying 200 dollars monthly for my insurance ( i was late past 2 months so , 400 dollars are due on the 20th ) ..

I got a job $12/hr . 40 hours / week , at this company last week , today is my 3rd day

Now I can pay the car payment for the past month ( i have close to 400 in my bank )
and i can hopefully pay the Insurance also by the 20th
( using the First paycheck from my 40 hour/week job )

But this is too much . I am driving a honda civic now .
I dn't think this is a good idea , I want to save up enough money so I can get a job as an electrical engineer ( what i got my degree in )

Oh man , i dn't know what i was drinking when I Got this car. I guess I wanted to show everyone that I can buy a car too . it was so stupid , Now that i think back on it .

Mann....( because my credit was so messed up , i even used my dad's credit also )

What do I do now??

I sold my car as is with the title and everything. I sold it as is by typing up a statement and having the buyer and myself and a witness sign. The statement also mentioned that a down payment was received and that payments must be made each week as part of the agreement. My question is must I give the buyer receipts for each time they make a payment? What can the buyer do if I didn't? And what can I do if the buyer stops making payments for 2 weeks and i have not given any receipts previously?

Purchased minivan from drivetime (where everyone is approved!). Things are working fine, My only complaint is that I'm paying way too much. I would like to return the car, or sell it. Its overpriced already so I think I would lose money. What can I do? Its a 95 chevy venture, my total purchase price is over 19k! I've had it for 4 months now, if that makes any difference.

I would like to trade my car in on a new one that I have found at my dealer. Only prob is that I lost the title for mine. I know that I can send to harrisburg for a new one, but that will take weeks. Can I still trade it in, and can the dealer obtain one so he can sell it?

My car is worth 1800 less than what it's worth, it's also having problems with its electrical system, I don't have the money to put into it, and I really don't have the money to buy a new car, but some people recommend I trade it in, and take the little extra car payment and deal with it. What should I do?

I'm wondering what car is best between the Pontiac Grand Prix GT, Sunfire GT, or Bonneville (SSe or SSEi). These would be between the years 2000 and 2002. I'm looking for things such as performance, reliability, gas milieage, and comfort.
