well first of all you have to know what % means.
it is french for OUT OF 100- so, 25% is 25/100 or .25
OK now to the question
what is 25% of 89.99? well its 89.99*.25=22.49
therefore 89.99-22.49=$67.50
Also there is another way of doing this. If you know that something is decreased by 25%, then 1-25% is the remaining amount, or 75% which is .75
so 89.99*.75= 67.50 rounded or 67.49

a chit is the quantity this is decreased from the unique fee ($18.30). That decrease fee is 25% (same as 0.25) of the marked fee. the decrease fee = 0.25 × $18.30 = $4.575 This could be rounded to the closest penny using fact we've not got a coin equivalent $0.0.5. So the decrease fee is $4.fifty six. The revenues fee = $18.30 - $4.fifty six = $13.seventy 4 ProfRay As maximum questions, this technique is on your textbook, yet you may examine it!
