Hi All,

I`ve been searching for a luton van that can take a payload that is 7 and 3\4 feet (2.36m wide). Most transit or LDV style Lutons seem to be only 7 feet.

I would prefer to stay with a 3.5ton vehicle rather than go up to a 7.5 tonner although I know these tend to be wider.

I`m Looking for a Transit / LDV/ Mercedes style luton Van or similar.

Does anyoneone know of a particular model that fits this description. I am not looking for a new model. Any old banger will do as long as it can take this wide load.

Thanks for your help.

Hmmm!
You have said you need the vehicle to be 7' 8" (2.36m.) wide to carry a certain payload. What you don't mention is how long and how deep the 'payload' is. What I am getting at is...... Would it fit in another way? Is it narrow enough to be, for instance, strapped to the side of the van, or is it narrow enough to be put in the van at an angle. Or even tied to a roof rack.
If you are going to buy or hire a van to fit your needs, you may find some of this information useful.
Good luck!!

Try a curtain sider, the over hang will not matter as it will not protrude beyond wing mirrors
