You can't. Even if it was wrecked and in a junk yard for years, it would be nearly impossible. The DeLorean is a rare car and when one of them has a problem, parts are limited. People end up finding one for parts and buying the parts. Plus, Why would you want a DMC? I know it is cool that they are stainless steel, but with a top speed of 85mph and a hefty curb weight, it seems like a waste.

You can't touch a De Lorean for under a grand. Right now, somebody has one on Ebay that is already up to $4500, and it is in terrible condition. And the reserve hasn't even been met! Check out the pics of it:

edit: an 85 mph speedometer does NOT mean the car can only go 85 miles per hour.
