At 17, you cannot enter into a legal finance or lease contract.
Not even as a co-buyer/lessee.
If you want to purchase or lease a car, it will have to be with a person of legal age on the finance/lease contract......sorry, but you can't even have your name on the contract until you're 18.
Also, it generally requires better credit to lease than to buy, so without excellent credit history, leasing may not be an option for you even when you turn 18, unless you have a parent with excellent credit to co-buy or co-lease with you.

Legal Documentation and accepting a customer's signature requires 18 Years of age. Even if you do, and something happens to the car and not in your advantage, the contract is null and void for falsifying legal documents. Why don't you get your parents to lease one for you while you make the payments?

At that age, I think it would be helpful if you have a parent on the lease also.

Nope. You have to be 18 to do that. Thae same applies if you want to buy it.
